Title: I am not ashamed of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ.
Speaker: Apostle Chiremba Sithole

Scriptures:
Romans 1: 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel [c]of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
2 Timothy 1:3-5 I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, 4greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy, 5when I call to remembrance the [b]genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.

The words of Apostle Paul in Romans 1:16 are bold. "I am not ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST". There were a lot of discouraging factors in his life but after encountering Jesus and receiving Him as Lord and Saviour, apostle Paul knew who he was in Christ Jesus and what his mission was. He could have been discouraged by other Christians and the devil pointing out his past sins: jailing of those who believed in Christ Jesus and supporting the killing of Stephan. He could have been discouraged by staying in jail for the sake of the gospel and being beaten for casting demons (Acts 16:25) but Paul remained steadfast in his calling. Shipwreck could not stop him from preaching the gospel. He explains that he understood that this gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation for Jews first and the gentiles. He preached and fought a good fight until the very end.

Some of us Christians, are not noticeable that we are Christians. At workplaces, schools and everywhere we go, we need to be proud of being Christians. Our attitude should be the proof that we are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus. The masses we bring to the kingdom of God should be the proof that we are not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. We should not give up on our family members and neighbours. It is not easy to preach to your own family. If you are convinced that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, then you would not consider how hard it is to preach to your own family.
I am proud of Lois the mother of Eunice and grandmother to Timothy. Paul says, "I see in you Timothy, genuine faith which was first in Lois, then in Eunice and now convincingly in Timothy". This kind of faith does come haphazardly. I believe Lois taught her daughter very well and Eunice in turn taught her son Timothy very well. They were convinced that this is the way, and treasured it.

I am not ashamed of the gospel. I will preach to my boss and my colleagues. I will preach to my family. I cannot leave the salvation to fate. I am not ashamed of being ridiculed, I will proclaim the Gospel in the valley and over the mountains. I have made up my mind, I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.

Would you like to join me as I follow the footsteps of Paul? I am not ashamed of this gospel. It is the power of God unto salvation.

Pray without Ceasing in 2022
Acts 12:1-5
1.Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. 2Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread. 4So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four [a]squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover. 5. Peter was therefore kept in prison, but [b]constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.

In this account, hatred is directed towards the Church. Herod the king exercised his power against the Church. He killed James, an apostle of God. His actions made the Jews happy. He proceeded to capture Peter with the intent of killing him. What is interesting to note is that the church is not recorded as having done anything. God did not do anything about James’s death.

When Peter was imprisoned, the church jumped into action. Peter was therefore kept in prison, but [b]constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. The churched prayed for Peter’s release. The key phrases are “constant prayer”, “to God” and “by the church”. If the church had not prayed, God would not have moved. The Church did not pray for James and God did not send help. When the church prayed for Peter, God sent an angel to release Peter.

Child of God, in the years 2020 and 2021, the church was humbled by Covid 19. Restrictions were given against assembling of the saints. The economy of the world was destabilised. We are now in 2022. If the church does not pray, it does not require guessing, humbling situations can come. If the Church decides to pray, God will answer them and respond to their requests. The choice is yours. Are you going to pray or look at events unfolding anyhow?
James 5:16-18 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, [k]fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 17Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

God answers pray. The responsibility is with us to be men and women of prayer. God remains faithful. He will answer.

Stay blessed in the name of Jesus our Lord and Saviour.

Live by faith and not by sight
2 Kings 6:15 - 17, 2 Corinthians 5:7

In the book of 2 Kings, the King of Syria was attacking Israel. Elisha the prophet of God, would know by the the Spirit of God of the enemy's plans and informed the king of Israel thereby foiling the plans of the enemy. When the king of Syria found out that it was Elisha who made his fails fail, he decided to attack and capture Elisha. He sent armies to surround his house. Elisha and his servant were in the house while the enemy waited outside.

2 Kings 6:14 -17
14Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city. 15And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”

16So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Please note that there were 2 people (Elisha and the servant) who were in similar circumstances but they saw differently. The servant was fearful. He could only see disaster. Elisha could see into the spirit well and was comfortable. He had to pray for his servant to see the help that was on their side. I do not know how he reacted to seeing such help.

A lot people can only see in the physical. They have no clue for what is in the spirit world. They are quick to complain when things do not go right. They are walking by sight. Christians are spiritual people. They ought to walk by faith and not by sight. They ought to claim the promises of God and stand upon them. That is walking by faith.

Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

1 John 4:4
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

1 John 4: 4-5
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—[a]our faith. 5Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

We might be in similar circumstances child of God but if we do not see things from God's point, we will not get desirable results. Walk by faith. See the help that God has already provided for you. Confess the Word. Stand upon the Word. Victory is yours in the name of Jesus. Stay blessed.

Sunday Service message: The church has authority over the devil.

Acts 12: 1. Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. 2. And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3. And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) 4. And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 5. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Herod a ruthless king killed James the brother of John, an apostle of Jesus Christ. He went on to put Peter into prison, intending to kill him after Easter.

The church had suffered humiliation at the hand of Herod. The church changed their attitude and started praying for Peter.

Acts 12: 5. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

The church prayed earnestly unto God for Peter. The KJV says "Prayer was made without ceasing unto God for Peter".

God intervened. God sent an angel and set Peter free. It was miraculous. Guards were there. The prison was shut BUT OUR GOD saved Peter from the hand of Herod.
Why did James die? Why did Peter escape?
Because the church prayed for Peter. The church took its stand against the devil. The church called the name of Jesus. God responded.

Had the church complained and grumbled over the situation, Peter would have suffered the same fate as James.

Ephesians 2: 6. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

In the eyes of God, the church has a glorified position. The church is seated in heavenly places in Christ. This is far above the devil and his cohorts.

Ephesians 1: 20. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

The position of Jesus is the very same position of the church because the church is the body of Christ.

James 4: 7. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The church decided to exercise their authority and put the devil on the sprint.

Child of God, as the church we have authority over the devil. We can use our authority over our families, our churches, our working places and communities. Crying and complaining will not help. It is high time the church realises who she is and take the stand against the devil over every area of concern.
What are you doing about your situation? What are you doing about the situation of your nation? You have authority over the devil.
Matthew 16: 18. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Take your stand again evil. You have the authority and the right amour. Stay blessed in the name of Jesus

Sunday Service message: God supplies in all seasons.

1 Kings 17: 7. And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. 8. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, 9. Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. 10. So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. 11. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. 12. And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. 13. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. 14. For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. 15. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.

In Israel there was a season of hunger. 3 and half years of no rain. During this time, God provided for Elijah. He sent ravens with food and used water from the stream for drinking. The stream dried and God sent Elijah to the city of Zarephath.

1 Kings 17: 9.

God told Elijah that He had commanded the widow to sustain him. The widow did not know a thing about it. She was not rich eneough to sustain herself and her son, let alone the extra mouth. God used her in her circumstances to sustain the man of God.
God being God, He sustained this family and the man of God. It is important that all this happened according to the Word of the Lord.
1 Kings 17: 16. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

The little flour and oil did not get finished according to the Word of God. This family had enough because of the Word spoken over the widow. They were fully supplied during the whole season of hunger.

It is important to note that even today God still sustains the universe by the power of His Word (Hebrews 1:3). Your circumstances are not a wonder to our God. He has already commanded a Word upon your life.

Philippians 4: 19. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

All your needs! ALL not some and not even most of the needs. Not many Christians know that God has commanded abundance upon their lives. They are exactly in the same situation as the widow who was gathering sticks to make her last meal, eat and die. Do not walk by seeing but faith (2 Cor 5 :7).

The truth is that God has already commanded abundance upon your life. Not just for you, but for others as well.

2 Corinthians 9: 8. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

God is God in all seasons. He remains your supplier even in the season of lack. His Word remains powerful and will sustain you.

Bible study: Faith Basics part 2.

Hebrews 11: 6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The Bible says that it is impossible to please God without faith. Not difficult but practically impossible. People try to move God with their tears. Others with self-pitying. The Bible says it is impossible to please God without faith. One sure way of getting the attention of God is by standing in faith. Christians should learn and practice what the Bible says.

2 Corinthians 5: 7. For we walk by faith, not by sight:

If a Christian does not learn faith basics, he is in great danger of walking by sight.
Romans 1: 17. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

The just shall live by faith. Hope alone is not enough. Faith is the gold standard for Christian living.

Faith can be classified as great faith, little faith and even faithless. What causes one to fall into the category of little faith?

John 20: 24. But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27. Then saith he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Thomas refused to believe the report of other disciples that Jesus had risen from the dead. This is despite the fact that Jesus himself had told His disciples that He would rise from the dead. Thomas wanted to prove that it was really Jesus whom the other 10 disciples saw.

Jesus emphasized that those who believe from just hearing the Word of God are blessed than those who want to see first for them to believe. The order of God is believe first and you will see. The world would like you to see first so that you can believe. Today people who do not believe the rapport of God are nicknamed the "doubting Thomases".

Abraham is referred to as the father of faith. He believed God at all cost.

Romans 4: 17. (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: 20. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

He believed God all the way. Imagine receiving a promise at 75 and getting the son at 100. Many would have staggered. Many would have talked themselves out of the promise of God. Abraham chose to stand upon the promises of God against all hope.

One cannot just wake up with the magnitude of the faith of Abraham. One has to have the knowledge of the Word and exercise their faith. Faith has to grow.

The church at Thesalonica was commended for their exceedingly growing faith. This church was purposely exercising their faith. Paul commended them.
2 Thessalonians 1: 3. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

Child of God, are you of little faith? Is your faith growing exceedingly? You have a part to play for your faith grow exceedingly. You have to learn to take God's Word at face value.

Romans 10: 17. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

03/11/2019

Bible study: Faith Basics part 1.

Hebrews 11: 1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2. For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith is in the now (present and not future). A lot of Christians operate in the 'hope mode' and confuse it with the 'faith mode'.

Hope puts things into the future. It shall be well. I shall be healed. Hopefully it will turn out well. That is all in the future.

Faith is in the now. It is well. I am healed. Things are definitely turning out well. Faith takes what is in the future into the present. Even when in the physical, things look bad faith speaks positively.

Our opening scripture says Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not not seen.

The basis of our faith is the Word of God and the fact that God can neither lie nor fail.

Romans 10: 17. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith in God comes from hearing the Word of God. The fact that God cannot lie makes one takes the Word of God at face value. What the Word says is what God has promised. The more we hear the Word the more we understand the will of God. Our understanding of the will of God gives the substance of things hoped for in any situation.
If there is anyone sick, understanding that healing is the bread of children makes one sure that when hands are laid on the sick, the sick get healed.

Mark 16: 18. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

From understanding the scripture, one becomes confident that healing will definitely manifest with the laying on of hands. So when a sick person is brought to a believer, the believer has proof that healing will manifest before he even lays his hands on the sick. He is sure God will heal the sick from the onset. The same applies for any situation.

1 John 5: 14. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

The confidence in God and His Word is our faith. When one has the confidence in one's God it is called faith. One can boldly declare the end from the beginning. One can have assurance of the outcome of any request made unto God.

Child of God, do you understand faith? Do you operate in the faith mode?
Without faith we cannot please God. It is not how much we cry that moves God. It is our faith that moves God.

Sunday Bible Study: The kingdom of God Part 2.

Romans 14: 17. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

In the previous post, we looked at what qualifies one to be in the kingdom of God. Righteousness (right standing with God), peace and joy in the Holy Spirit are the indicators of the kingdom of God.

Romans 8: 16. The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

The Spirit of God bears witness with the spirit in us that we are children of God. We are heirs of God and co heirs with Christ.

We share the same Spirit with Jesus. What belongs to God belongs to Jesus. What belongs to Jesus belongs to us. We are co heirs with Christ.

Romans 8: 11. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

We are qualified by the Spirit of God. He gives us the same abilities as He gave Jesus to reign. We reign over sin, poverty, lack, sickness, disease and strife. Anything that comes from hell is under our feet. God's intention is for man to have dominion over all creations.

Genesis 1: 26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Even today, God wants us to reign. We reign over every satanic influence through the power of the Holy Spirit. It is not the will of God for His children to be slaves.
In our journey as Christians, we will encounter giants, lions, fire and mountains. All these we will overcome them and reign over them by the Spirit of God.

The kingdom of God is in people and people are in the kingdom of God. Christians carry the kingdom of God with them wherever they go.

Philip ran from the persecution of Christians in Jerusalem and went to a city of Samaria where he introduced people to the kingdom of God. There was great joy in that city because of the kingdom of God.

Acts 8: 4. Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. 5. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. 6. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. 8. And there was great joy in that city.

Child of God, you are in the kingdom of God and the kingdom is in you. You should reveal the kingdom in you to the world around you. The Spirit of God wants to use you mightly in your generation.

14/10/2019

Bible study: The kingdom of God Part 1.

Romans 14: 17. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

A lot of Christians know they belong to the kingdom of God but they understand very little about kingdom principles.
The word kingdom is from 2 words king and domain. A kingdom is an area where a king has his rule. Similarly the kingdom of God is the domain of God. One cannot be in God's domain when one does not allow God to have a say over one's life.

In our opening scripture, the bible defines what characterizes the kingdom of God and what does not.

The kingdom of God is not characterized by the measure of your wealth (food and drink) but characterized by righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Righteousness is not really understood by many folks. They interchange it with holiness. Righteousness is right standing with God. One becomes righteous when one receives Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
John 1: 12. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

2 Corinthians 5: 21. For he (God) hath made him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (Christ).

One does not work for righteousness, one believes and attain righteousness. Without the right standing with God one is not part of the kingdom of God. Jesus deckares:

John 14: 6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

From the relationship with Jesus, one develops the fruits of the Spirit, peace and joy.

Galatians 5: 22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

If you want to know whether or not one is in the kingdom of God check for the right standing with God and fruit of the Spirit peace and joy.

If anything touches your righteousness, peace and joy that thing affects your legibility in being in the kingdom. Deal with it quickly.

The kingdom of God is not defined by physical boundaries. The kingdom is in individuals and individuals are in the kingdom.

Stay blessed

Learning to pray effectively Part 2.
Praying as an individual

John 15: 7. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

There are guidelines to praying as an individual.
1) One must clearly identify what they want to receive from God.

2) One should find scripture that supports their requests and ask from the Father in the name of Jesus. John 16: 23. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

3) One should meditate on the Word that supports their request and defend it from the devil because it will be challenged.

Mark 11: 24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

The Bible teaches that when one prays, one should believe that they have received it and they shall have what they have asked. Confession proceeds Manifestation. You believe then you receive. A lot of people prefer to receive and believe later. There is no exercise of faith to that. The Bible requires one to believe that what one has asked for from God one has received. Even if in the physical the answer may take long, the point of receiving is not when you see what you asked for, it is when you pray and believed.

The devil or your thoughts may say :So you think God has answered you?
Vocally confess what the Word that supports your scripture says. Your answer should include (It is written.....). Speak back the Word to your situation. Never allow yourself to see failure. See the desired outcome.
4) Thank God for the answered prayer.

Example of how to ask God for R30 000.
The scripture to use would be Phillipians 4:19 and John 16:23 and 24.
One would pray like this:

Father in the name of Jesus, I come before the throne of grace today. I am asking for R30 000 from you my God. Your word in Philippians 4:19 says 'My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus'. I receive from you knowing that all my need has been met. Your Word in John 16:23 and 24 says when I ask in the name of Jesus I will receive that my joy may be full. I receive in Jesus name Amen.
Devil take your hands off my money in Jesus name. The blood of Jesus is against you.
Angels, you who hearken to the voice of God. Are you not ministering spirits sent to minister for the heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14)? Depart you ministering spirits and cause my money to come in Jesus name.

Stay blessed child of God
