CURSES, PROPHECY AND PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS

A curse is an imprecation or a supernatural force working against someone. A curse can be released by demons or humans attached to dark forces.
A curse can also be released through certain behaviors. There are behaviors that attract curses. Curses are legislated through demonic or supernatural pronouncements.
Joshua pronounced a curse in Joshua 6:26, and it was fulfilled generations later in 1 Kings 16:34 when Hiel rebuilt Jericho and lost his sons according to the word spoken by Joshua.
Jacob also spoke concerning Reuben in Genesis 49:3-4, and his words had lasting consequences.
WHAT IS PROPHECY?
A prophecy is a supernatural word concerning the future. It reveals the future while in the present. Prophecies are legislated by intuitive premonitions and divine revelation.

PROPHECY VS PROPHETIC DECLARATION
There is a significant difference between prophecy and prophetic declaration.
A curse deals with the past, present, and future.
A prophecy deals with the future.
A prophetic declaration deals with the now.
The "now" is very important because it can determine the state of a curse or a prophecy.
A prophetic declaration acknowledges prophecy but can influence its outcome. It can stop, reverse, or alter the course of a prophecy.
A prophetic declaration is faith in your tongue.
Prophetic declaration is more powerful than prophecy because it allows room for options. Even after a prophecy has been spoken, circumstances can still change.
In 2 Kings 20:1-6, a prophecy of death was given to King Hezekiah, but through prayer and his response before God, the prophecy was altered and his life was extended.
The Power Behind Prophetic Declarations
The challenge with many believers is that they declare from a place of spiritual absence.
We often want to decree without faith and without spiritual power.
Hebrews 4:2 teaches that the Word must be mixed with faith to profit us.
A prophetic declaration is a word mixed with spirit. It is not an ordinary word. It carries spiritual substance and power.
John 6:63:
"The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."
Prayer itself is a mixture of spirit and words. Therefore, what kind of words are you speaking when you pray?
Do not underestimate the word of a prophet, even when you do not fully understand it.
Do not underestimate your own words either, because a spirit can carry them and bring them into manifestation.
Job 6:25 reminds us of the power and force of words.
Your tongue is actually signing your thoughts.
The Importance of the NOW. Romans 10:17, Hebrews 11:1
What you are doing now is more important than what you did yesterday and what you plan to do tomorrow.
If you cannot correct it today, forget tomorrow.
You have the right and responsibility to determine what happens in your life through your present actions, faith, and declarations.
You must learn to deal with your NOW.
Reverse every negative word spoken over your life because words carry spiritual influence.
WHAT HINDERS PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS?:
1. SPEAKING NEGATIVE WORDS
Always use your mouth to speak life, faith, and positive declarations.
Negative confessions weaken spiritual authority.
2. DECLARING FROM SPIRITUAL ABSENCE
Declarations should flow from the presence of God.
Wait until you have built spiritual strength and sensitivity before making declarations.
3. DECLARING WITHOUT FAITH
Faith is the force that empowers prophetic declarations.
Without faith, declarations remain empty words.
4. LIVING IN SIN
Sin cripples the weight and effectiveness of words spoken in the spirit.
Romans 6:23
When a person lives in sin, their spiritual authority is weakened.
CONCLUSION
If a curse has been placed upon you, it can be reversed through faith-filled declarations empowered by God.
If a negative prophecy has been spoken over your life, you have the ability to seek God and change its outcome.
Deuteronomy 33:6 records Moses declaring:
"Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few."
This declaration countered the negative pronouncement spoken in Genesis 49:3-4.

Never forget:
Curses deal with the past, present, and future.
Prophecies deal with the future.
Prophetic declarations deal with the now.
The state of your "now" can determine the outcome of both curses and prophecies.
Use your words wisely, because your words carry power, and faith-filled declarations have the ability to shape your destiny.

1. Every curse placed upon my life expires today in the Name of Jesus.
2. Whatever was used to activate any curse against my life, I deactivate it now. Loose me and let me go, in the Name of Jesus.
