🕊️ Archdiocese of Pretoria: Jubilee Year 2025 Closing Celebration 🕊️

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

You are cordially invited to the Archdiocesan Closing of the Jubilee Year 2025 – Pilgrims of Hope!

📅 Date: Sunday, 28 December 2025
🕑 Time: 2:00 PM
📍 Venue: Catholic Church of the Beatitudes, Zwavelpoort (Pretoria East)

This special celebration, presided over by His Grace Archbishop Dabula Mpako, will bring together:

+ All Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) members (outgoing and incoming)
+ Leadership from various sodalities
+ The Archdiocesan Youth Council
+ And all faithful who can join us!

Let us come together in unity and hope to mark the end of this graced Jubilee Year.

𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐃 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐨𝐲!

We light the Third Candle of Advent, the pink one, which symbolizes Joy. Priests wear rose-colored vestments. The 3rd Sunday of Advent is also called "Gaudete Sunday." Gaudete is a Latin word meaning Rejoice.

Loving God, we thank you for the joy you bring us. Help us prepare our hearts for this gift. Bless our homes with your joy. Help us to hear and to do your word. Remind us always that true joy comes from following your holy will. In this passing world, show us the source of enduring joy and deeper fulfillment. May the wreath and its light be a sign of Christ’s promise of salvation. We ask this in the name of the one born in Bethlehem, Jesus Christ our Lord and joy. Amen.
