Trinity Methodist Church_Daspoort A worshipping community doing God’s will, bringing about transformation in people’s lives. Nield. The current church was built in 1985 and extended in 2004.

When people settled in Daspoort from 1905, the first Methodist Church service was on 2 July 1905 in a classroom at Claremont Daspoort School, conducted by Rev J.H. The Pretoria Circuit Quarterly Meeting of 26 September 1905 mentions a "gift of the land to the Daspoort Church". The first church building was a disused wood and iron army barracks from "Roberts Heights". The "little old church" was bu

ilt in 1926, a foundation stone laid by Rev Albert Salmon. The last minister at Hercules Methodist Church was Rev Ron de Klerk who retired in 1998. With the amalgamation of Capital Park, Mayville and Hercules Methodist Churches, the Trinity Methodist Church was established in 2000. TMC has been under the leadership of Ministers: Rev Cecil Hiscock (1999-2007), Rev Ryan Killan (2008-2010), Rev Zdzislaw Hendzel (2010-2017), Rev Mike Brown (2017-2021) and Rev Kedibone Mntambo (2022 to date).

The famouse Trinity Golf Day took place today and it was a day truly blessed by God. From February to August every second Saturday sales took place at Jack Rite in Soutpansberg Road and this paid for the prizes. Wonderful donations were received as prizes. The players had a wonderful sunny day and enthusiasticly took part in the American Auction of the wheelbarrow and bought tickets for the competition with some lovely prizes. The proceeds of the day will go towards the upkeep of the church and upgrading the computer systems. Thank you for Barbie and her team of hard workers and all the wonderful golfers and other supporters. God truly blessed us abundantly.

Trinity Youth presented a Sip and Paint this morning. Some were very artistic and some just enjoyed it. Lively conversations took place around the table which ended up about the old reliable land line telephones. The old ladies who listened in and sometimes would even start to take part in the conversation. This was a lovely time getting to know new people and doing something completely new. Bless you all.

Here is Caron doing three jobs at the same time, rolling pancakes, spreading butter on the rolls and adding the onions. Thank you Sari, Bruce and Caron for your hard work.
