In accordance with GKSA Church Order Article 66,* Classis Potchefstroom has called all churches in the GKSA to a day of humiliation and prayer on Sunday 31 May 2026.

The following circumstances motivate their call:
1. The current tension in many classes of the GKSA. (This tension is largely due to a reluctance/unwillingness from various influential individuals and churches to submit to the decisions which we (GKSA) have made together in the light of God's Word regarding women serving in the office of pastor and/or elder.)
2. The rising living costs as a result of the war in the Middle East, the widespread and ongoing outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease, as well as the effects of recent regional disasters such as floods and veld fires.
3. The misery caused by persistent corruption and crime, especially as it has come to light within the South African Police Service, in view of the Scriptural promise that law-abiding citizens need not fear the authorities (Rom. 13).
