I love how the woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years mustered up enough strength, courage, and faith, even in a weakened state, to make her way to Jesus Christ.
Though her issue deemed her unclean and unnecessary by others, she didn't allow that to stop her.
She had spent everything she had looking for a cure, but her wholeness would be found only in Christ.
She had suffered much at the hands of those who had the credentials on paper to help her but no power of the Holy Spirit to heal her.
She was left in a worse condition.
The Bible states that she pressed her way through the crowd.
See, when there is desperation for the manifestation of transformation in your life, there's a press inside of you!
This woman with her issue, in her bleeding and broken place, was desperate to be made whole.
So hearing about Jesus she thought if I can just touch the hem (garment) of Him, I'll be ok, I'll be made whole.
The Bible states that she touched the hem of Him, His Tallit/Garment, and immediately her issue dried up and she was made whole.
And Jesus knowing that power had gone out of Him turns amid the multitude and asks, "Who touched Me?
I can imagine those disciples looking at Jesus really crazy in bewilderment!
Scriptures say the disciples said, "You see the crowd pressing in on You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?'"
In 2014 as I studied this woman with an issue of blood, the Holy Spirit spoke this to me. "Christie, just because many people are pressing against Me doesn't mean they're touching Me."
He showed me a vision of seeing our "church services" and how crowds were pressing in worship but He asked, "Who will touch Me?"
He allowed me to see pretty flyers and all the conferences, concerts, and preaching and prophesying that we say we're having and doing for Him and He asked, " Who will touch Me?"
He said. "Are you going to press against Me without touching Me, Christie?
There was a CROWD of people that pressed against Jesus but it was this woman who had an ISSUE that TOUCHED Him.
Just because you're in proximity of Him doesn't mean you're touching Him.
Just because you're pressing up against Him doesn't mean you're touching Him.
I began to cry out, "Lord forgive me because I don't want to be the one that's pressing against You but never touching You."
Our worship, our praise, our ministries, our needs, our lifestyles, the very essence of our beings must not only press against Him, they must move Him by touching Him.
Jesus didn't just feel the press of this woman, He felt her touch so much that He knew virtue/power had left Him!
Yes, she pressed.
She had to press through the crowd in her mind to even go to Him.
She had to press through the loss of all her money.
She had to press through the snares and glares of people.
She had to press through her pride.
She had to press through the reality of bleeding for twelve years and maybe thinking this was my fate.
But I believe the press and her faith merged together and it caused her to move, to meet Christ even if she had to crawl in weakness to do it.
Twelve years of bleeding.
Twelve years of having a condition.
Twelve is the biblical meaning of God's government and divine order.
The issue of disorder was introduced to Divine Order and her willingness to go low to touch Him changed her.
What about you? Do you have an issue? Sometimes the issue is you.
Whatever issue you have don't let it keep you out of the presence of God.
Gather the strength, courage, and faith to push your way through the crowd of doubt, fear, unbelief, lack, and the opinions of others, and PRESS your way through and TOUCH HIM!
The devil has deemed you unclean and unnecessary but the BLOOD of Jesus says otherwise!
I pressed through molestation.
I pressed through abortions.
I pressed through r**e.
I pressed through a divorce.
I pressed through the death of a husband.
I pressed through the loss of friendships and family.
I pressed through the dying of ambitions.
I pressed through pride.
I pressed through rejection.
I pressed through the opinions of men and being a people pleaser.
I pressed through religious systems, and structures, being muzzled, not fitting in.
I pressed.
I am still pressing through the crowds...
Why?
Because I've touched Him.
Because I know there's presence with Him on the other side of proximity to Him.
I've seen His power.
I've felt His virtue.
His identity touched my issues and He healed and made me whole.
📖 Luke 8:43-48 NKJV
[43] Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, [44] came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. [45] And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ” [46] But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” [47] Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. [48] And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
I want to encourage someone ♥️
