The Love of the Father
HOSEA 2:6-7 NASB1995
Therefore, behold, I will hedge up her way with thorns, And I will build a wall against her so that she cannot find her paths. She will pursue her lovers, but she will not overtake them; And she will seek them, but will not find them. Then she will say, ‘I will go back to my first husband, For it was better for me then than now!’
These are the words written by Prophet Hosea. God told Hosea to go marry a pr******te because "This will illustrate how Israel has acted like a pr******te by turning against me the LORD and worshiping other gods" said the LORD. Israel had worshipped other gods and forgot about their God. There are times in our lives where we chase after things that will shift us from God. And God say "I will hinder them from what they're running after...", "I won't allow them pursue it...", "I will block their path from getting things that'll shift them from me." Oh such a loving Father He is! Even when we go astray, He still extends His hand, protect us and lead us back to Him. He said in His Word "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee" (Heb. 13:5 KJV). He's the Father that "will not allow your foot to slip..." (Psa. 121:3 NASB1995). Remain in His love. Abide in His love. Refuse to be shifted from His love by anything. Oh! I remember the words of Apostle Paul asking what shall separate us from His love in Romans 8:35! Be still and know that He is God who is able to be there for you even when you've completely failed Him, even when you've completely forgotten about Him but chased after your desires. Remember when King Abimelech wanted to marry Abraham's wife, Sarah, because they had lied and said Sarah is Abraham's sister (Gen. 20:1-16 NASB1995). But the LORD came to the King in a dream and told him not to marry Sarah because she was married. The LORD kept the King's foot from slipping. I know that you run out of strength at times, but I'm here to tell you in this evening that depend in His strength. The LORD said to Zechariah "“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts." (Zech 4:6 NASB1995). Fully depend in His strength. The Apostle Paul said "Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might." (Eph. 6:10 ASV) because The Apostle knew very well how the Almighty God carried him. Be strengthened in the might of the Lord my brethren.
