THE ME-AND-MY OR THE YOU-AND-YOURS? 😏

As a Spirit-filled Christian there should be one main goal for this year, and one only... Yes, there are many other things to be done also, but...

The *most important ministry* task to be done is to *see people being saved* and to then *make these converts disciples* and *disciple-makers.* 😇

How will we, as *Christians,* answer God when we meet Him, when He asks why we did not listen to His command to go and make disciples?

We live in “a sea” of lost and ignorant people - here, there and everywhere... 😟

Reach out and talk about Jesus! Or are we not caring about others?

Have an active and blessed 2026 - Put Jesus First!

TYPES OF PASTORS IN TODAY’S CHURCH...

Not all pastors are the same...

They carry different burdens, different graces, and unfortunately, different weaknesses...

Here are *six types of pastors* you will find in today’s Church:

1.THE SHEPHERD PASTOR...
This one genuinely loves the people. They know your name, your story, your battles. They may not be the most gifted in preaching, but their heart is pure and their care is sincere. When you meet this kind of pastor - hold them dearly. They are rare.

2.THE BUSINESS PASTOR...
This one runs the Church like a corporation. Strategic planning, branding, structures, budgets, efficiency - everything is professional, everything is neat. The strength? Excellence and order. The danger? People can become “resources” instead of souls. Balance is needed.

3.THE ENTERTAINER PASTOR...
Crowds excite them more than transformation. The goal is to trend, to impress, to be adored. Sound effects, theatrics, hype, motivation - everything is about performance. People come excited but leave unchanged. This is the tragedy: charisma without depth.

4.THE PROPHETIC MYSTIC PASTOR...
Deep visions, intense spirituality, mysteries, encounters… The strength is sensitivity to the Spirit. The danger is drifting into extremism, manipulations, and unverified “God said.” When grounded in scripture, they are a blessing. When unbalanced, they become dangerous.

5.THE WOUNDED PASTOR...
This one preaches fire on Sunday… and cries alone on Monday... They shepherd while bleeding. They are hurt by betrayal, exhausted by demands, crushed by expectations. Many of them don’t even know they need healing. What they need is rest, therapy, and brothers who can hold them up.

And then...

6. THE CALLED BUT UNPREPARED PASTOR...
These ones genuinely love God but rushed into ministry without training, mentorship, or character formation. They carry zeal but lack structure. They mean well, but unintentionally cause harm. They need discipleship - not condemnation.

Every pastor fits somewhere in these categories, and some carry elements of all...

But here is the truth:

A healthy pastor is not defined by education, title, charisma, or crowd _but_ by character, accountability, growth, and submission to God’s process.

Follow God's Word 📖 and stand together 🤝. Insecure leaders surround themselves with "yes people". Effective leaders surround themselves with people who challenge them...

Remember, a Church is either program driven or it is purpose driven...

"But greater is He who is in us than him who is in the world. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who loved us. Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings like eagles they shall run not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint.." 💪🏻

DEAD AS A DOORNAIL OR AS ALIVE AS JESUS CHRIST? 🤩

The idiom *“dead as a doornail”* dates back to the 1300s, and was used by William Shakespeare in the 1500s and by Charles Dickens in A Christmas Carol in 1843.

In use, the phrase means that something is, *"not alive, truly unequivocally deceased.”*

I am so grateful *Jesus Christ* is *not* as "dead as a doornail", *He's alive and well!*

The *bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ* from the dead is *tremendously important!*

*Death* is *man's greatest enemy* and it has *conquered all people - but Christ.*

*Cities and nations, like people,* are *born* and *grow* for a season and then fade away... *Homes, clothes, even vehicles, wear out* and eventually go back to dust, *just as do their owners...*

The *Bible* describes this universal *reign of decay* and *death* as *"the bo***ge of corruption."* (Rom 8:21)

In *science* it is recognised as the Second Law of Thermodynamics - the Law of Increasing Entropy. *Left to themselves,* every system tends to *become disordered,* to *run down* and *eventually die...*

*All the founders* of *great religions* and *movements* have *died* and you can visit their graves, they are *all dead* and *decayed in the grave.* Zoroaster, Confucius, Buddha, Muhammad, Marx and Lenin... These guys are sadly, by their own choice, as *"dead as doornails",* today... _(and in a neverending uncomfortable painful situation... 🙈)_

But, *Jesus Christ is alive! 💪🏻*

So, *what difference* does that make, you may ask?

The *Resurrection of Jesus Christ* is *vitally important* because it demonstrates *Christ's victory* over death, it *gives hope* to all mankind, it shows that *eternal life* is available to *believers,* it points to the *ultimate triumph* of God *over all evil* and it *provides* an indisputable *proof* that the *message about Jesus Christ,* as both *Judge* and *Saviour,* is *TRUE!*

"Because He has *appointed a Day* on which He will judge the world in righteousness *by the Man* Whom He has ordained. He has *given assurance* of this to all *by raising Him from the dead."* Acts 17:31

The *Resurrection of Christ* from the dead not only transformed *people* but also *society* and *history...* It changed the *Jewish Sabbath* into the *Christian Lord's Day*
on *Sunday,* the first day of the week... It also transformed a *Jewish remnant* into the *worldwide Christian Church consisting of over 2-Billion people...*

*Jesus is alive, and well and very active!* If you believe it, and live it and proclaim it, *you* will also be well! 😇

It's such a blessing to be a *genuine* and *sincere Christian,* don't you think? Dead as a doornail or alive and well as Jesus Christ - the choice is ours... Everyone has a equal chance to live a 'resurrected new life' - let's go and remind the ignorant ones out there...

Love, peace, and joy...😉

JESUS, THE LAMB OF GOD...

He became like us - that we might become like Him.
He was rejected - that we might be accepted.
He was condemned - that we might be forgiven.
He was punished - that we might be pardoned.
He suffered - that we might be strengthened.
He was whipped - that we might be healed.
He was hated - that we might be loved.
He was crucified - that we might be justified.
He was tortured - that we might be comforted.
He died - that we might live.
He went to hell - that we might go to Heaven.
He endured what we deserve - that we might enjoy what only He deserves.

Do you know this Lamb of God?

*ARE THE JEWS THE MOST IMPORTANT NATION ON EARTH?*

*If so, why so?* The war-problem between Israel and Palestine should actually force some people to stretch their minds...

Often New Testament Believers of today would *quote Bible verses* saying that the 'Jews are still God's chosen people of today' and that 'they are like the Apple of His eye...' In the *Old Testament* we see God calling a people group together to worship Him and in return to be blessed by Him. The Germans killed so many of them and all over the world, for ages now, they are being mocked, belittled and persecuted, *regardless* of their achievements and successes...

And yes, the Bible talks about all of their calamaties - all of this for *'His Name's Sake.'*

When the Lord made a covenant with Abraham, *promising* to give to his descendants a specific land, seed, and blessing forever, He had the *power* to make the *promise* and *to keep it.*

*God’s holiness* and integrity, in fact, require that He do so. *Why?*

*"For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it; for how should My name be profaned?”* (Isa. 48:11).

Many people seem to *misunderstand God’s motives...* God often acts to *protect* His holy name. He has promised to restore Israel’s kingdom, *not due to any merit on Israel’s part* but, rather, *for His name’s sake.*

It brings *glory* to Him to *keep* His promises. If He *ever* failed to keep a promise, He would be a liar or a weakling. He is neither. “God is not a man, that He should lie” (Num. 23:19). “Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it” (Isa. 46:11).

God has concern for *how His name is represented among the peoples* of the earth. When Israel dishonored His name, God scattered them among the nations:

And they were *dispersed throughout the countries;* I judged them according to their ways and their deeds. When they came to the nations, wherever they went, *they profaned My holy name* - when they said of them, “These are the people of the Lord, and yet they have gone out of His land.” But *I had concern for My holy name,* which the *house of Israel had profaned among the nations* wherever they went. (Ezek. 36:19–21)

He was *concerned* because the *Gentiles* were supposed to *learn about* the *true and living God* by observing Israel’s righteous behavior. In fact, when King Solomon dedicated the first Temple, he announced Israel’s mission: “that all *the peoples of the earth* may know that the Lord is God; *there is no other”* (1 Kings 8:60).

Instead, Israel’s unrighteous, corrupt, immoral behavior *produced a false picture of God* and profaned His name, dishonoring His character...

*Until* the final return of Christ, God will _always_ *expect* His followers to *'do things'* for *'His Name's Sake'* ... If people *ignore this,* it means that the New Testament Church could ultemately be wiped out and what God started with Abraham would have been all in vain. But *that will never happen* because God works with *faithful disciples* who are all part of the 'Apple of His eye'... 😇

So, are the Jews to this day *more import* than Christians? It seems Christians are 'not as special' because people always tend to quote Old Testament Scripture about the Jews... "Pray for the Jews, pray for Jerusalem" - but why? For His Name's Sake! Do people understand this?

Are the *Christians* therefore *not* 'the Apple of God's eye?' Why do Jews have 'special favour' from God and not Christians, it seems... Didn't Jesus eventually die on the Cross for *ALL* people?

Read the Bible in context...

The answer lies in 1 Peter 2:9...

"But you are a *chosen generation,* a *royal priesthood,* a *holy nation,* His *own special people,* that you may proclaim the praises of Him who *called you out of darkness* into *His marvelous light."*

Peter writes to the Churches of Asia Minor... They too are a *chosen people* because they have been caused to be *born again* by the God and Father of their Lord Jesus Christ (1:3) by means of *imperishable seed* which is the enduring and living Word of God (1:23).

So, there is a *new dispensation* called the *New Covenant* which officialy came into effect on the day of Pentecost and henceforth *applies* to *all people* who *accept Jesus Christ* as their Saviour.

Therefore, to become part of the *'chosen people of today'* one must clearly understand the meaning of *John 14:6* - *"Jesus* said to him, 'I am the *way* , and the *truth,* and the *life.* *No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6).

We are all *'equally special'* in God's eyes, whether *Jews or Gentiles* - we have equal opportunities to receive equal protection from Him, regardless of our nationality or ethnic group.

*Christianity* is the parameter that counts today and that is obvious what *makes you part* of the Apple of His eye...

Galatians 3:28 says: "There is *neither* Jew *nor* Greek, there is *neither* slave *nor* free, there is *neither* male *nor* female; for *you are all one in Christ Jesus."*

*Pray for, and reach out* to the *Jews to be saved* and likewise for all other people who follow a religion where Jesus Christ is *not* acknowledged as 'God the Saviour'...

Remember, to be a follower of Him is all about 'His Name's Sake'... 🙌🏻

*Put Jesus Christ first* and you will indeed be the 'apple of His eye'... He did it all, for all...😉 Hallelujah!

BITTERNESS & UNFORGIVENESS...

Some people die with a *heart full of unforgiveness* and *bitterness...* And that is a great problem. 😔

Many *Believers* clash with each other - they argue, become angry and attack each others integrity... This should not happen because this often leads to *unforgiveness* and *bitterness...* Bitter people *don't want* to forgive because they *don't wish* to communicate *Christ-like...* 😟

The Bible says:

*"Get rid of all bitterness,* rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. *Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other,* just as in Christ God forgave you. Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and *live a life of love,* just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (Ephesians 4:31 - 5:2.)

*Bitterness defiles and destroys lives, friendships, families and one’s future.* Bitterness is like a cancer. It devours its host. Bitterness is self-induced misery. 😟

When we sin, we feel guilt. When others sin against us, we feel bitter, and angry...

*Bitterness* is always based upon *someone else’s actions.* These actions could be real or imagined, they may even be based on a false report, but the bitterness is always very real.

*Bitter people* (being full of unforgiveness) cannot imagine the possibility that they are bitter over imaginary sins. As far as the bitter person is concerned the other person’s guilt must always be real.

For example, political rioters, arsonists, protestors, family fighters, etc are all bitter and angry over something they believe others are guilty of... And when they refuse to forgive, they are gambling with their own future... ✝️

“See to it that no one *misses the grace of God* and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.” (Hebrews 12:15.)

The Bible warns us lest any root of bitterness spring up causing trouble and defiling many people. *If there is a root of bitterness, it will bear bitter fruit.* Bitterness is destructive and devastating...

*Bitterness and unforgiveness is absolutely bad, bad news!*

Reach out to *"your personal enemy"* (family member, friend, whoever) *today,* and *make peace...* *Repent* and *get rid* of bitterness *before* it gets rid of you!

*Sort things out* as a *true Christian,* won't you? 🙌🏻

WHAT IS THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS?

The true meaning of Christmas is love...

John 3:16-17 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

So, the true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of this incredible act of LOVE!

True Christians, do enjoy a True Merry Christmas, won't you?

*THE NAME OF OUR SAVIOUR... 🙌🏻*

The word *Jesus* is the English form of *Iesous* (Ἰησοῦς), which is the *Greek* rendering of the *Hebrew* name *Yeshua,* a shortened form of *Yehoshua* (יְהוֹשׁ֫וּעַ).

This latter is an *abbreviation* of God’s four-letter name *YHVH* (יהוה Jehovah/Yahweh) *combined* with a form of the *Hebrew verb yasha* (ישע) meaning *to save, deliver, or rescue.* Hence the name *Jesus* means *Saviour.*

The *English* word *Christ* is *not Jesus’ surname,* but is a *title.* It comes from the *Greek Christos* (Χριστός), meaning *anointed one,* which is the *Greek* rendering of the *Hebrew Mashiach* (משיח), usually *rendered in English* as *'Messiah’.*

So *Jesus Christ means Jesus the Anointed One,* or *Jesus the Messiah.*

What a Worthy Saviour we as Christians have - *never stop* telling the whole wide world this! 🫶
