A revelation, or a fragment of God’s knowledge that is given to us, is something that was previously unknown to us. It always brings new knowledge or insight to light or manifests something fresh. If it is not new or fresh to us, it is not revelation.

Everything that is revealed can be considered new, even if it has already come to pass. Something that is not new to you can be new to me, and vice versa. Revelation elevates, stimulates, activates, and accelerates our spirit; it is an impelling force that drives us forward, inducing spiritual motion that leads us to seize the truth and apply it to our lives or to the lives of others. A doctrine doesn’t move our spirit—revelation does.

LEARN TO VALUE AND LOVE YOURSELF

The common challenge among many today is that they fail to see their true value and thereby fail to appreciate themselves. They tend to depend on the opinion of others concerning them as this gives them a sense of love and appreciation; if man acknowledges them, only then do they feel good about themselves. This then becomes the reason why they are disappointed and discouraged when they are not acknowledged or appreciated.

Take note, when people do not appreciate you, it should not be an issue of concern because the love and respect you have for yourself is sufficient. Therefore, do not depend on what other people say or do, because man changes with time. Rather, let everything begin with you – respect, love and appreciate yourself because if you do not value yourself, no one else will value you.
