Distinctives of Biblical Ethics.

The final distinctive of biblical ethics, is that it has no fear in apportioning praise or blame to persons involved in moral events. There are many in the Kingdom, who have believed the lie that the church should not become involved politically, and as a consequence, closes it eyes to the immorality of persons involved in politics.

The integrity of the upright will guide them,
But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them. Prov. 11:3

Biblical ethics is the process of assigning moral praise or blame, and incorporates conduct (that is, the what), character (the who), and goals (the why) of individuals involved in moral events.

There are many leaders who confess to having an open door policy but recently, I pondered on how many leaders have an open communication policy.

The integrity of the upright will guide them,
But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them. Prov. 11:3

Open Communication

Ethical leaders operate on the principles of trust and honesty by openly communicating with those working alongside and under them. By allowing everyone to put their issues on the table, they avoid hostility and distrust amoung colleagues. They are fully transparent and encourage feedback from significant others around them.

Simply put ethical leaders don't communicate in the dark using secret codes. They are open, transparent, accountable and approachable. These are the leaders South Africa desperately needs.
