LUCSA as part of the Reformation Day 2023 is hosting a lecture titled "Lutheran Heroes of the South"
This will be the first of its type and will be part of LUCSA's annual Reformation Day programme.

The aim of the lectures will be celebrate and remember theologians from the Southern Africa region, both lay and ordained, and their impact on various member churches within the various contexts.

This year, LUCSA has identified the late ELCSA Presiding Bishop, Dr. Manas Buthelezi, who will be bestowed the honour of the first Lutheran Hero of the South. The lecture on Bishop Manas Buthelezi will be led by Rev. Dr. James K. Mashabela, lecturer of Church History at the UKZN.

The lecture will take place on Tuesday, 31 October at 4pm and will also be livestreamed.
There are a limited number of seats available for those in Johannesburg and surrounding areas to attend the lecture in person, and therefore, persons wanting to attend must kindly register at the following link:
