Title: Betrayed, Rejected and Denied.
Chapter Reading: John 18:1-40.
Verse for the day: John 18:26-27, "One of the slaves of the high priest, who was related to the one whose ear Peter cut off, said, Did I not see you in the garden with Him? Peter then denied it again, and immediately a rooster crowed."
*Reflection:*
Jesus endured betrayal, denial, and rejection from those He loved, lived with and discipled; like Judas and Peter. Ofcause being God, Jesus knew this would happen. It's painful to experience betrayal, denial, and rejection. People betray, deny or reject us due to their fears, selfish ambition or our background. If you're facing betrayal, denial, and rejection right now, take heart. Remember, everything has a purpose, as all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord (Romans 8:28).

Day 23 of 60 Days
*Title* : God's Solution to Worries.
*Scripture Reading:*
1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your worries on Him because He cares for you."
*Reflection*
It's not our duty to carry worries in our heart and mind. Worries are so burdensome and destructive. God has a perfect solution to worries... Offload them to Him, because He cares for you. He knows that worrying brings about stress, faithlessness or ill health. Let us humbly respond in prayer to God's love and invitation, by casting our worries on Him. He is surely faithful and will sustain us.
*Song for the Day*
Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed Thy hand hath provided: great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me! (Thomas Chisholm).

Day 21 of 60 Days
*Topic:* Discernment *Scripture Reading* : Philippians 1:9-10, "And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to *discern* what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ."
*Reflection*
To keep our love for God growing and honouring Him with our lives, we must not live by trial and error. We are to prayerfully discern:
- The kind of people to closely associate with. Some people can be loved at a distant.
- The activities to commit to. Not all good activities are profitable.
- The kind of talks we get involved in. "... the person who controls his speech is wise," (Proverbs 10:19). May the Holy Spirit enable us, in all we do this week, and the years to come, to be discerning as we walk in God's will.
*Song for the week*
".... Come breathe in me,
I will rise on eagle's wings, Come live in me
all my life, take over...," (Hillsongs Worship).

Day 19 of 60 Days
*Scripture Reading:* Acts 1:1, "In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach."
*Reflection*
We observe from the scripture above that, Jesus practically lived his teachings. He was a man of deeds and of the word. The best lessons we can teach our spouses, children, church family, subordinates at work or our house servants, is our day to day practical Christian living. No great articulation of words or styles of presentation can have more impact on people than our public Christian living. Remember the song, "They are watching you Marking all you do. Hearing the things you say. Let them see the Saviour as He shines in you. Let His power control you every day..."
*Thought for the Day*
"Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words if necessary," (St. Francis of Assisi).

Day 18 of 60 Days *Scripture Reading* : Jeremiah 29:12-13, “... you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
*Reflection*
It is encouraging to know that we serve the God who is always closer with us! The scripture above introduces us to three of the many characters of our God:
*First:* God is relational v. 12a. God desires a closer relationship with us. He invites us to call upon Him and pray to Him. An invitation to fellowship and friendship.
*Second:* God listens, V.12b. In this lonely and busy world, our God explains that when we pray to Him, He will listen. He listens to our spoken and unspoken words.
*Third :* God is dependable. V. 13. God invites us to seek Him, and that if we seek Him with all our hearts, we shall find Him. He is never too busy for us.
Surely this is the God we all need to look upto in all our circumstances.
*Song for the Day*
".... You're all I want
You're all I ever needed
You're all I want
Help me know you are near... " (Michael Smith)

Day 16 of 60 Days
Theme: Self-Care
Scripture Reading: Psalm 139:14, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Reflection
Do not neglect yourself...! Practice Self-Care by taking good care of your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. Any relationship, work, religious practice or ministry assignment that perpetually drains your physical, social, spiritual or emotional well-being is too expensive and not worth it. The best place to start our journey to self care is the scripture above. It is only when we are able to value our uniqueness and preciousness, before God and His people, that we will be able give out God's love and care to others.
Thought for the Day
Do not neglect yourself!

Day 14 of 60 Days
*Title*: Patience *Scripture Reading:* Romans 8:25, "But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently."
*Reflection*
Patience is one of the fruit of the Spirit. This is the character to accept delay without being angry towards God, others or yourself. A lack of patience to see God answer prayers for a job, marriage or healing has caused many people to take shortcuts and ruin their faith. What are you constantly praying for? The scripture above reminds you and I to wait patiently for the blessing God is packaging for us, in answer to our prayers. *Memory Verse*
Lamentations 3:25, "The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”

*Day 12 of 60 Days*
*Title* : Gentleness
*Scripture Reading:* Philippians 4:5, "Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near."
*Reflection*
We live in a world where most people wrongly think that being harsh, rough or mean is a sign of strength. The scripture above admonishes us to being gentle. This means being honouring, kind or tender, especially with our spouses and children. As the Lord's coming draws nearer, may we gently strive towards being the source of hope, encouragement and love in these difficulty times we are living in. Remember, gentle words give life, but harsh words cause perpetual emotional wounds to others. *Scripture for the Day* “Gentle words bring life and health; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit, ” (Proverbs 15:4).

Day 11 of 60 Days
*Title:* Emotional Healing
*Scripture Reading:* Psalm 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
*Reflection*
Our God is the great physician who not only heals our physical diseases, but also binds our inner wounds to ensure that no more infection invades our hearts. God does not only heal broken hearts, but also hidden emotional wounds caused by:
- Guilt of past sin.
- People's hurtful words.
- A sense of failure in life.
- Loss of a beloved one.
Praise God that even when we may be experiencing inner pain obscure to our family and friends, our great physician reaches out and heals such hidden wounds.
*Verse for the Day*
1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Day 10 of 60 Days
*Title* : Life Opportunities.
*Scripture Reading*: Ephesians 5:16, "... make the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."
*Reflection*
Did you know that as we live in the last days, the Lord is creating life opportunities for you and I? And the devil is also creating limitations and traps against your life opportunities. But, praise God, that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us, Romans 8:37. Therefore, maximize every life opportunity that God presents to you. Invest your time profitably. Redeem your time from too much social media, TV or godless chatter and invest your time seeking God's kingdom by watching and praying, meditating on God's word and working harder towards your life opportunities.
*Prayer for the Day*
Open my eyes Lord, that I may see you at work in my life and community so that I may join in with you.
