It has been a busy and fruitful couple of weeks for our Pietermaritzburg team as they continue to share the hope of Jesus with learners across a number of schools. ❤️

From dancing and games at Bisley Park Primary, to thought-provoking conversations at Clarendon Primary, and encouraging learners at Muzithusi Primary to discover that Jesus is a friend who walks with them through difficult times, God is at work in the lives of young people.

Neo shared, "Mission Partners always aim to create spaces where young people can freely explore faith, ask honest questions, and simply encounter the love of Jesus personally."

One learner was especially excited to discover that anyone can pray ,not just pastors or teachers, and that God is always ready to listen, no matter the time or place.

Please continue praying for our Mission Partners as they faithfully serve in schools, answer questions, build relationships, and help young people grow in their understanding of God.

On Saturday, the 23rd of May, we hosted a Holiday Club Training at Elim Prayer Chapel which was attended by representatives from five different churches.

We had the opportunity to equip 19 children’s ministry teachers who showed great excitement and enthusiasm for the Holiday Club programmes they will be running in their communities.

We are also excited to share that five churches will be partnering with SU to run Holiday Clubs during this winter break, with Verulam and Reservoir Hills participating for the very first time!

Please continue to pray for those who were trained, as they go out into their communities to create unforgettable impact in the lives of young people.

Zintle shares a beautiful reminder that God always has our best interests at heart, even in moments when we may not fully understand what He is doing. Through every season, challenge, and victory, Christ continues to show us His love daily.

We are grateful to God for the open door at Natest Primary School, where we have the opportunity to host Prayer Spaces for the Grade 5 and Grade 6 learners and for this chance to journey alongside young people, creating spaces where they can reflect, pray, and encounter God in impactful ways. We continue to pray for even more opportunities to serve schools and communities.

This past week, we had the opportunity to conduct a Peer Leader Training at St Martin Deporres Comprehensive School💚

During the training, learners took part in fun and engaging team-building activities designed to strengthen communication, trust, and cooperation. They were also given the opportunity to present skits demonstrating both good and bad leadership, encouraging important conversations around the kind of leaders they want to become.

The learners also reflected on the story of Moses in Book of Exodus, where the focus of the lesson was on the importance of accepting help from others and working together. It was a meaningful reminder that strong leadership is not about doing everything alone, but about supporting one another and growing together as a team.
