“ Common sense is not common at all”.. w/ mSp
“ Train me in good common sense.”
Psalm 119:65–66 (MSG)
Friends, you can get an education in the palace, but ‘wisdom and common sense’ often come from the desert , that’s what happened to Moses. We thank God for education, but my prayer today is:
“ God, train me in good common sense.”
Psalm 119:65–66 (MSG)
Truth be told, common sense is not common at all in some of us.
The Bible says:
“ The words of the godly encourage many, but fools are destroyed by their lack of common sense.”
Proverbs 10:21 (NLT)
Family, in order to make the best decisions, we need more than just information, we need common sense & wisdom ‘ , listen we need God ‘.
“ Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.”
Proverbs 3:5–6 (NLT)
Good information does not guarantee a good decision.
Solomon , is a perfect example.
God gave him wisdom, understanding, and a large heart:
“ And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.”
1 Kings 4:29 (NKJV)
Family , God has given you a beautiful mind and blessed you with supernatural wisdom and common sense.
Family, book sense , information and intellect , is one thing, but common sense is another. I would rather flow with common sense just saying ..
“ You can get all A’s and still flunk life.”[True story.]
Go back to Proverbs 10:21 (NLT)
“ The words of the godly encourage many, but fools are destroyed by their lack of common sense.”
Sometimes our mouths and reactions operate before our brains get synchronized. The young at times speak before they think, but mature people learn to think before they speak.
Sense is sense, and faith is faith. When faith begins to make sense, it is no longer faith , it is sense. Hope this makes sense.
The Scripture declares that good counsel and sound wisdom are from God. I believe strong counsel, sound wisdom, and common sense are your portion. I pray that the Spirit of counsel and might continues to flow through you.
Faith Confession
I receive the wisdom of God.
I will not lean on my own understanding.
God is training me in good common sense, sound judgment, and divine wisdom.
My mind is blessed, my decisions are guided, and my words are seasoned with grace.
I have the Spirit of counsel and understanding.
I will not be destroyed by lack of wisdom.
I walk in God’s direction, God’s wisdom, and God’s peace.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
