WE’VE GOT BILLS TO PAY AFTER SERMONS WE PREACHED
To the pastor who preached with power last Sunday, but still had to wake up every other day of the week to go and work just to keep food on the table and lights on in the church, thank you, sir. Thank you, ma’am.
Thank you for carrying both a Bible and responsibilities. Thank you for pouring out spiritually while stretching financially. Thank you for preaching faith even when your own pocket was under pressure.
Many people see the sermon, but they do not see the sacrifice behind it. They hear the revelation, but they do not hear the silent prayers prayed over unpaid bills. They celebrate the oil on your life, but they do not understand the weight on your shoulders.
Yet you still showed up. Still preached. Still encouraged others while fighting your own battles quietly.
Like Paul the Apostle, some ministers are still making tents after preaching the Gospel. Like Elijah by the brook, some servants of God are trusting Heaven daily for provision. Like Jesus, some of you are carrying people who celebrate miracles but do not understand ministry costs and expenses.
But hear this clearly: God sees every hidden sacrifice.
Every sermon preached through exhaustion… Every offering given from lack… Every journey to church with an almost empty fuel tank… Every sleepless night spent praying for people who may never even say “thank you”…
Heaven records it all.
The world may measure success by money, but God measures faithfulness by obedience.
So to every pastor… Every minister working a job after church services… Every shepherd secretly carrying financial pressure while still feeding God’s people faithfully…
May God honour your labour. May oil never run dry on your head. May grace speak for you loudly. And may the same God you preach about publicly provide for you privately.
Because sometimes after powerful sermons… We still have bills to pay. But God remains faithful through it all.
By God's Grace, One day things will get better for you and me, let's continue preaching faithfully 🙏🏼.
God bless you.
Your Beloved
