Over the last few weeks, The Message South Africa team, have called for prayer for our dear friend, colleague and family member, Alicia. It is with sadness to share that last Wednesday evening Alicia passed away, surrounded by her church and immediate family who were singing to Jesus. Some of our team were at the hospital until a few minutes before she died and said that the ward was full or worship and prayer.
Alicia has been part of The Message family since 2014 and was part of the initial Eden Pelican Park team. She was a youth pastor in her church for over ten years and was on staff with us from 2022 until 2024 serving in the Creative Mission team, she was full of joy and committed to seeing Christ change the lives of young people around her. She was full of joy, lived generously, was passionate about community and living deeply with those around her.
We are living in the tension of knowing that she is fully healed and with Jesus whilst mourning the loss of a dear friend and family member. We ask that you continue to pray for Enrico and their daughter as they mourn the loss of a wonderful wife and mother.
