I said goodbye today to a dear minister friend, a brother, an elder but more importantly, a man of faith ….
Ps Si, I’ll miss the long chats and coffee dates 😔
Today, I lost my dad… and I’m still trying to find the words. 😭
My father wasn’t just a man, he was a standard. A pastor, a footballer, a guitarist, but more than any title, he was someone who gave his life completely to others. For 71 years, he showed up for people, selflessly, consistently, and with a heart that never asked for anything in return.
He taught my brothers and I what it means to be strong. To be competitive. To never give up, no matter how hard life gets. To keep pushing forward even when everything in you wants to stop.
And the truth is, he was a much better man than I could ever hope to be. A perfect example of what a man, a father, and a servant of God should look like.
What hurts even more is hearing his friends speak about him, the way they light up when they talk about the man he was. That tells me everything I need to know. His impact wasn’t small, it was deep, real, and lasting.
Dad, your life wasn’t just lived, it was given. And because of that, your legacy will never fade. It lives on in us, in everyone you’ve touched, and in the values you instilled in all of us.
