We are going to meet the Lord.

Apostle Bradley Bourne, made a very special visit to Colorado Congregation Church on Sunday, March 15, 2026, for Sunday Divine Service. The Apostle was accompanied by our District Rector, Clarence Cookson and Community Evangelist Ashley Vlotman.

The scripture shared with the congregants was taken from the Book of Genisis 24:58 (NKJV): "Then they called Rebekah and said to her, “Will you go with this man?” And she said, “I will go.”

The message centered on the theme: “We are going to meet the Lord.” Reflecting on the account of Abraham sending his servant to find a wife for Isaac, the Apostle explained the deeper picture of salvation: Abraham representing God, Isaac representing Jesus Christ, the servant representing the Holy Spirit, and Rebekah representing the bride. Just as Rebekah willingly responded to the call, we too are invited to say, “I will go” as we prepare to meet the Lord.

Key moment in the Divine service, the Apostle dispensed the sacrament of Holy Sealing, reminding the congregation that although it may appear as a natural process, it is the Lord who has chosen and adorned His children on their way to meeting Him.
The Act of Holy Sealing was dispensed for 3 adults and 17 babies.

In closing the choir rendered; "We love our Faith", ending the service on a powerful note.

The Apostle took the opportunity to greet the Congregation after the Divine Service and a few memorable photos captured with the ministers who took part in homiletics assessments as they received their certificates.

On Sunday, 22nd February 2026, Divine Service in preparation for the Service for the Departed next week was conducted by Evangelist Ashley Vlotman.

The text used as the basis was read from Luke 15:5–6 (NKJV),
"And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbours, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!"

The message emphasized that we rejoice in knowing that God wants to save all people.

When the Pharisees and scribes took offense to Jesus’ kindness toward sinners, Jesus responded by telling them the parable of the lost sheep. The lost sheep symbolizes humankind, which has fallen into sin and thus strayed from God (Isaiah 53:6; 1 Peter 2:25). The Son of God came to earth to seek and save them. The fact that He lays us on His shoulders shows that we are unable to come to God on our own. Only the merit earned by Jesus Christ on the cross allows us to enter into fellowship with God.

Summary:
■ God loves every human being and desires their salvation.
■ Every human being is dependent on salvation in Christ.
■ Christ calls sinners to repent and follow Him.
■ We rejoice in the salvation that Christ offers us and our neighbour.
■ This joy motivates us to intercede for the salvation of others.

During the divine service, the Act of Holy Baptism was performed for 4 children.

After the service, the Evangelist greeted the congregation and took a photograph with those who were baptised and the parents of the children.

“Professing Christ”

On Sunday, 01 February 2026, Bishop Grant James conducted a Confirmation divine service at Colorado Congregation.

The sermon was based on the Bible text from Matthew 10:32:

“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven."

𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲: We profess our faith in Christ.

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆:
■ We believe in Christ and are not intimidated by the world.
■ The gospel determines our words, our actions, and our entire being.
■ The gospel is a great power and the source of our salvation.
■ We acknowledge Christ openly in the presence of others.

This dedication shows a strong desire to live in accordance with Jesus Christ's teachings and to reject all evil.

𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀
A special message from Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider was read to the confirmands, encouraging them as they made their solemn commitment to follow Christ. He reminded them that Jesus Christ loves them unconditionally and that His teaching is a guiding light, not a burden. The confirmands were encouraged to live as disciples of Christ by loving their neighbour and professing their faith without fear, trusting that the Lord will always support those who serve Him. The congregation expressed their joy and gratitude for the confirmands’ willingness to join them in serving, assuring them of their support and care within the love of Christ.

After the closing prayer and benediction, the choir concluded the divine service with hymn - “We Will Keep Our Faith Alive”. Thereafter, the Bishop greeted the members and spent some time with the confirmands and their parents/guardians.

We now look forward to welcoming our confirmands into the ranks of the Young People, as they join the 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁. May you persist in your faith, guided by the love of God and strengthened by His grace.

On Sunday 25th January, Evangelist Ashley Vlotman conducted the Divine Service.

The service was based on the bible text John 2:9–11 , which says:
"When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!” This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him."

Christ has been given all power
Message: The Risen One has all authority and power.

Following the celebration of holy communion, the rector bestowed upon the 40th Wedding Anniversary to Brother Stanley and Sister Angela Marescia.
Congregation then took time to wish the Wedding Anniversary couple.

We are Wonderfully made!

The third Sunday of January 2026 marks the opening of the Sunday School year. The service was conducted by the Evangelist Ashley Vlotman.

The text word was read from
Psalm 139:4 (NKJV)
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.

Message
You are wonderfully made, even if others or you yourself don’t realise it.

The Bible text emphasises that God has wonderfully created each of us, even when we or others fail to acknowledge it. All of His creations are marvellous and deeply loved just as they are. Let us, therefore, refrain from judging others and
instead appreciate the goodness that exists within everyone.

Summary
■ The creatures God has made are marvellous.
■ God loves you just as you are.
■ Let us not judge others. Everyone has their good points.

After the Divine Service all the children and parents were invited to attend a presentation welcoming for our children to enjoy the new year of Sunday School.

On Second Sunday of 2026, Evangelist Ashley Vlotman conducted Divine Service.

The word was taken out of Luke 2:49 (excerpt) that reads:
Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?

Message
"Already as a child, Jesus lived in close union with His Father."

Summary
■ In the temple, Jesus professes that He is the Son of God.
■ Jesus says that He “must” be in His Father’s house. This is an expression of His identity.
■ We too are invited to remain in the Father’s house.
■ There we find orientation, a home, and the strength to live a life of love in the world.

Priest Frederick Hansen and Deacon Najwa Hansen celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. May your Union be blessed for many more happy and blissful years to come!
