Our Sunday

THAT WE MAY HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL

Colossians 1:9
Paul says:
"We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives."

Notice that Paul does not first pray for money, success, or comfort. He prays for spiritual understanding.

Many believers know what they want, but not what God wants. Jesus taught the same principle when He prayed:
"Not my will, but yours be done." (Luke 22:42)

God's will is discovered through prayer, the Word, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Those who know God's will can walk confidently even in difficult seasons. When you know His will, you know His ways. In His ways is peace and confidence in the One who holds the future. In His will there is no fear. Even though the journey may go through fire, if it is His will, we fear not.
