Update from a friend who is helping out in Knysna...
Hi all. Thx again for your messages yesterday - know I am in your prayers! It rained some overnight - Praise the Lord. There are strong winds blowing again though so everyone is a bit jumpy and on the lookout for flare-ups. Counseling is picking up as people realise they need to talk. I have seen such special people whose stories are all different and yet so similar. Also going to check out a small catering business today that is supplying 400 - 500 meals a day to people being accommodated by others all over town. Meyerton Methodist has donated funds they are wanting to support an appropriate need with and this may be it. I am trying to discern REAL need that our and their funds can be used for. It is amazing that many of those who have lost the most are the least likely to ask for help. It is a hugely humbling experience for those who are used to helping others to now reach out for or simple just accept help themselves. I am learning so much being here and thank you again for helping to make it possible. Pls keep praying! Blessings, Wendy.
