The mysteries of God are hidden in the spirit realm and all prophetic secrets are communicated through God's Spirit to your spirit. Praying in tongues enhances this channel of communication.

We are engaged in an invisible war with Satan and we need to be able to engage successfully in spiritual warfare and to descern the spiritual atmosphere.

Prayers release the power of God against the principalities and powers in the atmosphere as well as in the physical realm. A healthy prayer life destroys strongholds that demons may have in the lives and in the hearts of God's people.

Without prayer there can be no freedom from spiritual afflictions. Praying with the Spirit or in tongues is a powerful and effective defense against the plans and purposes of the enemy. So include a time of praise and worship during your prayer time.

We have been given three swords to subdue the devil. These are the sword of the Spirit, the sword of the word, and the sword of praise.

Prophet Elijah said to his servant,"Go Up,look,is the rain coming?"
The servant answerd,"there is nothing."Elijah continued praying!

-Some of us would hav given up and said," God is not answering me,i might as well quit.The more i pray is the worse it gets.The answer is not coming."

Seven times Elijah sent out his servant,and on the serventh time the servant said,"I see a cloud the size of a man,s hand, and hear the sound of abundance of rain."

Elijah did not pray just once or twice, but seven times.The number seven speaks of compliteness.

God is looking for people who are not quitters.Too many of us are quitters,if something does not go the way we think it should have gone,we quit.

God is looking for people with stamina and perseverance.

THE EVIDENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

said, these signs shall follow them that believe.....

-One of these signs is that they will speak in new tongues(mark16:17)

-Acts 19:6,"...they spoke in tongues and prophesied"

-Acts 1:8,"...You will receive power... when the Holy Spirit has come upon you....you will be My witnesses.

-Acts2:4 ...all of them where filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues.

-Acts 10; 46...they heard them speaking in tongues praising God.

My brother/sister you can receive if you believe, just obey and respond, don't be afraid....other people are afraid of rhe spiritual areas bcz they are untaught and afraid of what they might receive or come in contact with. But this is not to be so with God,s promise to you as an individual.

It is impossible for the believer responding in obedient faith to God,s command to receive anything else frm a truly spirit filked and anointed minister. 1cor2:;...we have not received a spirit of the world but the spirit who is frm God, that we may understand what God has freely given us

The Holy Spirit is for all believers, Acts19:6;"-when paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.

As a child of God, you cannot be more ready than be cleansed by the blood of Jesus.

-Acts 2:38, Repent, baptized, forgiven. Now receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.Jesus in mark 16 says,"these signs shall follow them that believe. They shall speak in new tongues, This will just not happen in a believer's life.This sign is the evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

*The Holy Spirit was promised by the Father through the prophet joel and restated by Jesus,by the apostles in the Acts and also today is promised to those who have not yet received the promise.

THE PROMISE OF THE FATHER

Joel 2:28; and afterward I will pour out my spirit on all people.your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women-I will pour out my Spirit in those days."

THE PROMISE CONFIRMED BY JESUS

*luke 24:28 Iam going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city though you have been clothed with power frm on high....

-Acts 2:1, 4.".....They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them."

NOTE:

-The promise was for them then
-For their children
-For all who are afar off
-For all whom the Lord our God will call.

*FOR ALL...You are one of those who are afar off and one of those whom the Lord our God has called.
