// Women’s Day 2025 💐

CELEBRATE AND BLESS THE WOMEN WHO SHAPE YOUR LIFE

Women’s Day, celebrated on the 9th of August in South Africa, is a special time to remember and honour the strength, courage, and role of women in society at large.

From a Christian perspective, this day reminds us of how God values women and uses them in powerful ways to bring about change and strengthen faith and hope in the world. In the Bible, we see many examples of faithful women, like Esther, who risked her life to save her people, or Mary, the mother of Jesus, who humbly accepted God’s plan for her life. These stories show us that God has also worked through women for His purpose.

On Women’s Day, we can also reflect on Proverbs 31, which describes a woman of strength, wisdom, and kindness. She is not only hardworking and caring, but also fears the Lord, and because of that, she is praised.

Historically, August 9th is also a reminder of the historic 1956 women’s march to the Union Buildings in Pretoria, South Africa, when thousands of women stood up for freedom and equality.
As followers of Christ, we are called to stand for justice and to love and support one another. So, on this day, we thank God for the women in our lives: our mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends.

We pray for their strength, peace, and purpose. And we also commit ourselves to creating a world where all women are respected, valued, and given the freedom to live out their God-given potential. Women's Day is a chance to celebrate and bless the women who shape your life.

Yours In Christ!
