Being Planted By The River..
Part 1
Greetings to you all Generals. We bless God this morning for giving us yet another day. It is by Grace that we are still able to come at His presence and be at His feet.
We all know that it is impossible for one to please God without faith for faith is the Currency of heaven. By faith, you're able to speak to existence what is not there to be there.
Abraham had faith in God and that is why he is said to be the father of faith for he had faith even in unforeseen circumstances. He didn't have children and was old, but just because God told him that he will have children as numerous as the stars, he held on to God's word. (See Genesis 15:1-6). The Bible says "it was credited to him as righteous because of his faith" (verse 6)
I want us to pay attention to this..
Having faith is like having money. Money can get you anything you want in life, faith can also get you not just anything but everything in life. And by that, you need to believe in God and hold fast to His word.
Psalm 1:1-6 [scripture reading]
Let us look at the first verse, David speaks about Joy.
Such is never found in money or anywhere but it is found in Christ for in Him we move, live and have our being. John tells us to rejoice (Revelation 19:7) and to give Him Glory. God receives Glory when we delight in Him.
Delighting in Him proves that we are rooted in Him and day in day out we meditate on His word (Psalm 1:2/ Joshua 1:8). When you meditate on His Word, your mind is being transformed and you begin to reason like Jesus. The Christ is now reflecting on you for when you meditate, the word becomes alive in you.
And when you are rooted in Him, you became like a tree that is planted by the river, bearing fruits every season. I love the MESSAGE TRANSLATION BIBLE for it says "you're a tree planted in Eden, bearing fruits EVERY MONTH (Psalm 1:3).." every month meaning FAITH. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God, and when you have heard the Word of God, you're planted by the River.
