7 STEPS TO BEAT THE SPIRIT OF DELAY.

The sum for being productive is simple. High leverage equals high output. The problem is if you've not been taught to be productive then you won't be. That's why the guys that most think they don't procrastinate are the ones that do it the most and will not fulfill their dreams and visions.

The good news is once you know how you're set, it's not aoiut where you're at but about what you have in place as that's what determines where you'll be at, and if someone else doesn't know what I'm about to share with you then they can't even be competition even if they wanted to. This will set you apart. This will be what you have that others won't that will cause you to see what you actually already possess and want, just that you'll see it in a little bit.

I had a guy fight me once, not physically (lucky for him), when I told him his problem was procrastination and that it was the only thing holding him back from being what he wanted. He vehemently disagreed, yet when I asked him to describe to me what procrastination actually was he couldn't. So I asked him how he could disagree and have such a hard stance on himself not doing it when he didn't know what it was. He was silent.

See if you only know yourself or only know your enemy you'll win half the battles, if you know neither you'll lose all and if you know both you win all battles. So let's look at what this spirit of delay is in order to know it and ourselves and ultimately bare more fruit.

It's not fear. It's not something you do because of limiting beliefs. It's not anything spiritual even though I call it a spirit of delay, which is good news because it means it only gets it's strength from our ignorance. Procrastination means you as a spirit delay doing what you must, what's most important, and the reason is simple. If we just look at the meaning of the root word from where we get the word procrastinate it becomes obvious it's not fear or limiting beliefs. It comes from the French aristocracy days, a time of great wealth, including a wealth of options, and it quite literally means to feel overwhelmed.

Before I badger this to death we need to make clear this means that procrastination is psycho-social, meaning it's a bit about managing your mind and a bit environmental, mental and environmental, so any solution that only focuses on one will be overwhelmed by the rest of procrastination's spectrum of existence, productivity pun intended.

See the word came from royals having too many options and not knowing what to do with it. Today we also have a ton of options, distractions, notifications, causes to care about and it all leaves some attention residue which makes it tough to get to the important stuff.

A lot of folks think they're stuck in a desert where they have a lack of options. Truth is they're more akin to someone with lots of cash in a shopping mall, having too many options to choose from. That stuck feeling is a wealthy man's problem, if you in fact are wealthy or not.

Just one more interesting side on it before we get to the actual tips, and they are game changers, and this can be helpful for believers and people who don't know Jesus, is that the Bible is chock full of the productivity principle, it's literally the first command He speaks over man when He made us. He says let's make a thing that'll be and act like us, this is one thing not as some have said He had to first make us like Him with His Nature and then only give us power in the form of dominion, the truth is He says we are going to make this being that looks and acts like us and then God describes what that being-like-God-ness looks like, ie having dominion as obviously you'd expect God to rule, and then God describes it even more and says the following things are a part of having dominion but also obviously extend from it, meaning if you have dominion you will have these things, and the first is that we be fruitful and multiply, replenish and subdue. The first two isn't God being redundant. They are two different things. It means be productive and have your works be so productive that they multiply themselves, as should you as people multiply yourselves, then you should maintain and then subdue, meaning take more new ground to plant your flag in, so to speak. If you did this process backwards you'd create a very backwards people by the way. A people that would perish eventually. This is why it's sad that the first fruit principle gets made out to be only about money when it actually deals with doing the most important first. It's about first things. First things first. That's why we meet on a Sunday, the first day of the week, because we're saying God comes first in our week. We also don't just spend time with God in the beginning of the week but do so by getting to know Him also through His people, ie church. Practically we would then do the most important things in the beginning of the work week and we would do them in the beginning of the day before our will power caves. To my non-Christian friends you can know that even if you don't believe in God His purpose for you and all of mankind is to be fruitful, to be productive, because He has seen you as His righteousness this whole time, regardless of what you've believed about Himself and yourself or what others have believed about you, and He wants you to reach your full potential and full stature of man because Jesus isn't just another religion but truly is the hope of all of humanity, all of mankind, and He's for you and wants you well and doing well. Alright alright I've kept you hanging long enough. Here are the tips.

TIP 1. IMPORTANT OVER URGENT.

B.U.S.Y. stands for Being Under Satan's Yoke. That's how most live. They're always busy, not really sure what they're working on and why, because they prioritize the urgent over the important. The first things are not what's being put first. The difference between the two is the urgent are the things that you feel rushed to do, that need to get done now, and if you don't do them then people will know. The important on the otherhand are those things that if you don't do them no one knows but you know. You'll know you put them off again, possibly forever, and they're usually things like write that book, start that business, pursue that talent etc. They are the big things that if they get done actually change your station in life. Practically this brings us to the next tip.

TIP 2. GO BACK TO THE DRAWNING BOARD.

We've all heard the saying 'back to the drawing board' and it sounds negative but it's actually awesome, and you'd know this if you had a drawing board. Just write down everything you need to do without judgement, so the important stuff right down to something you want to post on Facebook, if you're an entrepreneur don't be surprised if you wrote down hundreds and non-entrepreneurs if you wrote down more than a hundred, and then choose the three most important, not urgent, goals on the list and do them first. More or less than three things to focus on has been proven to make one significantly less productive. There's a lot of three in one type systems and patterns in nature. God is three in one, the three form the one team we call God, but we are also three, namely spirit, soul and body, and our brain has three parts etc. The point is to get it all out of your head onto your piece of paper, your drawing board, and after choosing the three most important ones to work on you put the drawing board away and only look at it when you've done them and then you choose your next three most important ones and repeat. Additionally you can even write the three most important ones for that day or the next on a sticky note in order of importance and keep it in your pocket, and if you can't work on number one first then you do number two then one then three. Will there be some things you don't get to and miss and get behind on? Yes, but they don't matter or move you forward. You catch my drift.

TIP 3. PROCRASTINATE PROCRASTINATING

Its true that what came first is greatest and comes first. The problem is if we procrastinate we do it because we feel overwhelmed and what we do is we shift thing number one out of its position and we forget we can actually twist things back the right way around. We can turn the tables. So when you get the thought or feeling that you just want to do something else first, that's just procrastinating, you can say you'll do that procrastinating in a bit, you'll get to it in a minute because you first want to do the important thing and then you'll procrastinate the rest of the day, you could, mind you, and your day would still be a success.

TIP 4. EVERYTHING IN MODERATION, EVEN MODERATION.

The thing is when you procrastinate you're not resting and you're not working. You're stuck in a state of flux. Most would think just powering through with your will power will work, but will it? No. A better approach is instead of snoozing till an even number on the clock or watching just one more episode of whatever you instead binge. Don't try and stop. Indulge and watch as many as you can. What happens is after a while you'll feel like you can't just sit and watch TV, you'll feel that you have to get to work, and you then will get to it.

TIP 5. WORK OR DO NOTHING.

A simple yet effective protocol to use is tell yourself you're either working or you're going to sit still in one spot in silence. Like with the previous tip you'll get energized and motivated to do the work that needs doing. We don't want any unfinished business in this life. Conversely, if possible, it would be best not to create an environment that disrupts your flow state so don't do other things before your goal because you'll be dealing with attention desidue from that previous activity and don't schedule things, or afterwards because if you know by five you're going to go gym then your brain stops working well before then. The goal is to work till you get into flow state, even if that takes hours.

TIP 6. PROCRASTINATE MORE AND ON A LARGER SCALE.

Again we are only dealing with overwhelm here. So if starting that business and all the moving parts that go into it stop you in your tracks then find something bigger to do or start and procrastinate on that, by doing what you should do, so starting that business. If starting that company of your own stops you then say to yourself you actually need to start a country of your own and then the overwhelm of that prospect will make you put it off and get busy with something else that doesn't overwhelm you, so starting that company. Perspective is important. If you want to trek different you have to track different.

7. STOP DOING TO-DO LISTS. RATHER DO DONE-LISTS.

To-do lists will overwhelm because you're literally doing the opposite of using a drawing board properly and instead you're creating these towering lists of things that you see the whole time that fills your mind that is still all up in the air and undone. You'll only be invigorated by the first one or two things you've accomplished and then you'll feel overwhelmed. Part of having dominion over time is not getting stressed by it as if you're running out of it and in turn jump from one new shiny object to the next. Don't be like an octopus on skates, having a lot of movement but none of it forward and having no direction. You need to stay the course. For that you need motivation. If you ever feel stuck or unproductive just start writing down everything you've done in that past hour, half an hour or two hours and you'll realize you're doing well and you'll also get more done that way.

A FINAL TIP ON GOAL SETTING.

The conventional advice, that comes from the old wisdom of the first fruit principle might I add, is to write down the three big goals that if accomplished would change your life and break them into smaller goals, each goal consisting of three smaller goals that you have three goals each week for a month long to accomplish that'll bring you to the fulfillment of those three big goals. This is great advice because it allows you to be honest with yourself about what you actually want and more importantly it helps you not be overwhelmed before you even start. In that same vein it would be good to see the thing(s) you're working on, your big life changing goals, and the bigger the goal the easier it is to accomplish as the big ones pull you forward and tend to get done whereas the monotonous, mundane, everyday goals tend to burn one out and don't get done, it would be good to see that big thing your working on as something you'll really give your all to only for the next few weeks or month or two and then you're done with it regardless of how far you came with it. That motivates and also gets you started as it's not this intimidating, semi-permanent commitment but rather just something you're working on for a little bit.

More importantly make sure your goals have specificity, measurability, deadlines and accountability. Specificity would mean that your goal isn't to have a six pack but to do the things that'll definitely get you one. I've had conversations with business people where they say their goal is a thirty percent increase in revenue, which is bad because its still focused on what comes later, the fruit not root, where they should be focused on doing the things that are in their control that would bring the result they want. They can't control how much people buy so it's a bad goal. They can control what they do themselves. Measurability is important because what gets measured becomes more, whatever gets measured gets managed and whatever gets managed gets done. You want to be able to measure it, track it and see how far you are with it in your process of completion, and you being able to measure it will keep you consistent when there seems to be no results yet. It'll keep you consistent and moving forward. None of this happens without hard deadlines and deadlines don't happen without accountability. You need someone who will hold you to those deadlines. Not a friend. They'll be slack or go overboard and then not be consistent in keeping you accountable. Keep the tips. Keep them close to you. Structure your life accordingly and watch how everything changes for the better. Do this all today. Become high leverage by having a high output.

This time is not about a bunny but the Lamb. He paid it all for you. Will you give Him your all? One of the most spiritual and beneficial things you can do is spend time imagining the dreams God has for you.

Only because of Jesus, can we enter into heaven. Thank you Jesus for covering my sins with your blood. Forgive me for the part that I played that put you on the cross. I love you Jesus!!

Also I recognize that you paid that I be healed, whole, blessed, delivered, protected and provided for, by the breaking of your body, even before you shed your blood so I could know you, be one with you and be seated with you in heavenly places. You love me. You deserve what you paid for.

A lot of prophets have said Jesus is coming back this month. He's not. He's not coming back this year. Good theology makes one very prophetic. If we are proven true prophets please reach out to us and we'll give you some resources to renewe your mind. We love you. So does Jesus.
