PART 2 - - - A PERSONAL TRIBUTE TO A GREAT LEGEND
A direct sequel to meeting Dr. Maphalala was me hosting the December '83 national conference of Victory Fellowship at Mpatlalatsane Hall in Sebokeng. I still marvel at how this occurred as I was the only member of Victory Fellowship in the Vaal. It was a miracle indeed.
Victory Fellowship Sebokeng was then launched at the December Conference of 1983. Still can't remember where people were sleeping for this highly successful conference.
In 1986 we as the whole Sebokeng Victory Fellowship pulled out of the assembly and we named the Church Voice of Healing Ministries. This brought about a rift between me and Dr. Maphalala.
Fast forward to Dec 2007
By December 2007 a lot had transpired. Voice of Healing Church had closed down because I had resigned as the Pastor of the Church. Ministry was very difficult for me. I was in secular employment when I had an awakening out of the blue sky. This awakening made me to reconcile with my Spiritual Father (Dr. Maphalala). I then hosted a seminar in December where I honored Dr. Maphalala and other Pastors.
Dr. Maphalala pulled me aside and whispered to me that my newly found path was a road less traveled. I didn't think this was so serious until I took the road. He became a pillar to me for the past 19 years since my newly found awakening. He attended almost all the seminars I hosted to talk about my new definition of what GOD is. Dr. Mapalala now treated me like a friend on my newly found journey.
Rev. Dr. Mandla Maphalala was brutally ostracized by his own Church leaders for standing behind me. He was called backsliden, heretic and an apostate. My calling brought about a huge rift within Victory Fellowship Outreach Centre because Dr. Mapalala would not renege on the support He gave to me.
I invited him and other friends to Pattaya, Thailand to see where my newly found calling had led me. This was just to say "Thank you Dad" to him. He truly loved Pattaya and even made a wish to retire in Thailand.
MAY YOUR DEAR & GALLANT SOUL REST IN PEACE DEAR FRIEND. 🙏
