🌿 FAMILY WEEK 2026 — “LOOK, I AM MAKING EVERYTHING NEW!” 🌿
As we bring Family Week 2026 to a close, our hearts are filled with gratitude to God for a truly beautiful week of faith, fellowship, learning, laughter and renewal. ❤️
Guided by our Moravian text for the year, “Look, I am making everything new” — Revelation 21:5, our Diaconics Committee chose the important theme of addiction and family renewal.
We were privileged to hear the honest testimony of a recovering addict, sharing both the reality of addiction and the hope of renewal in Jesus’ name. We also heard from a professional social worker who shared from both her expertise and her family's personal experience. We were reminded that addiction affects the whole family, is a treatable disease, and that there is help, hope and renewal. 🙏🏽
Yesterday brought a wonderful Family Fun Day, where young and old enjoyed games, laughter and fellowship together. We also took time for a valuable self-care session, reminding us that self-care is not selfish — it is necessary. ❤️
Today, we culminated our week with a beautiful worship service and a powerful message from Sister Minnie Lewis Adams, on behalf of the Diaconics Committee, under our theme of renewal.
A particularly meaningful moment was the Cup of the Covenant, led by Reverend Veronica Persence, as the chalice was passed from family to family and shared throughout our congregation — a beautiful symbol of renewal in our families and in our church family.
🙏🏽 Thank you, Lord, for a blessed Family Week!
Our sincere thanks to our Diaconics Committee, Mission, Welfare & Evangelism Committee, church leadership, speakers, volunteers and every member of our congregation who helped make this week so meaningful.
May we carry its message forward:
Faith that strengthens.
Family that supports.
Renewal that transforms. 🌿
May God bless every family in our congregation and continue to make all things new in our homes, our church and our community.
Have a blessed week ahead, Maitland Moravian family! ❤️🙏🏽
