It's true that when God commanded Moses to speak to a rock for water to come out of it, Moses disobeyed God and smote the rock instead, but the water still came out and that water was still a miracle of God, it was still a blessing to the people of Israel even though it didn't happen God's way.
You can have a child out of wedlock and that's not God's way but that child is still a blessing from God, that child still carries the possibilities and potentials for an impactful life, so you have to get your head in the game and be fully present and careful to raise that child as such, without adding bitterness to their life. focus on what is, not what happened.
Zacheus in the bible was a swindler and cheat but when He met the Lord and His life turned around, He was willing to payback anyone whom He defrauded. The way he made money was not God's way but He was smart with that money and multiplied it to the point of being able to payback anyone with claims later on in life when He repented.
David took a man's wife and that was not God's way, God punished Him for it, however the child he later had with that woman became a child of promise, after the loss of the first child this 2nd one became the suitable heir to the throne and the wisest man of his time and generations after.
At times we can start wrong and end up in a bad place because of our own choices, but the sooner we face reality instead of blaming someone else, or wallowing in self pity the sooner we can get our lives back on track by the mercies of God. God can make the best out of a bad situation.
