Trinity Presbyterian Church

Trinity Presbyterian Church A congregation pointing people to God. We share our holy space with the Trinity Anglican Church. The property belongs to a joint Anglican and Presbyterian Trust.

Sunday morning services: 10:00 - 11:15

The Presbytery of Tshwane and the Pretoria Diocese of the Anglican Church undertook the establishment of Trinity as a joint development. The foundation stone was laid in 1971 and the sanctuary was completed and consecrated in 1978. Although the congregations each maintain their own identity and worship in separate worship services, they share the sanctuary a

nd all the facilities. In 1979 Tim Horwood was appointed at Trinity as a student for ministry, became our pastor and served God here until his retirement in March 1996. By this time Trinity had become well established in Lynnwood. In July 1996 we welcomed Robin Jacobson in our midst. He left in December 2000 when he accepted a call to Vancouver. A pastoral vacancy followed until Alan Cameron was inducted in January 2002.

Join us this Sunday, 7 June at 10:00 AM at Trinity Presbyterian Church as we gather as God's covenant people to worship the risen Lord Jesus Christ, sit under the faithful preaching of His Word, and partake together in the Lord's Supper.

Graham Fryer will be preaching from Romans 6:1–23 in a sermon titled:

"Eternal Life"

"Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God."
(Romans 6:8–10)

As we gather around Word and Sacrament, we will be reminded that through our union with Christ in His death and resurrection, we have been set free from the dominion of sin and given the sure hope of eternal life. In the Lord's Supper, Christ strengthens the faith of His people and assures us of His saving grace and covenant promises.

In a world of uncertainty, come and be reminded of the unchanging gospel—salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
Our worship is shaped by Scripture, centred on Christ, and marked by reverent praise, prayer, the preaching of God's Word, and the celebration of the Sacrament.

All are welcome to join us as we seek the Lord together.

Please remember Graham and his family in your prayers as he prepares to faithfully minister God's Word.

Join us this Trinity Sunday, 31 May at 9:00 AM at Trinity Presbyterian Church as the Anglican and Presbyterian congregations gather together for a shared service of worship in praise of the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

This special joint service will be a time of joyful fellowship and reverent worship as we unite around God’s Word, prayer, the singing of praises, and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Together we will reflect on the glory of the Holy Trinity and Christ’s call to His Church to make disciples of all nations.

The Scripture readings for the service will be:

Genesis 1:26–2:7
2 Corinthians 13:11–13
Matthew 28:16–20

Lendore Kamoo will preach God’s Word, and Graham Fryer will lead the congregation in the celebration of Holy Communion.

Whether you are visiting for the first time or are looking for a church home grounded in the truth of Scripture and centred on Christ, you are warmly invited to join us for this blessed time of worship and fellowship.

Please remember both ministers, and all those participating in the service, in your prayers as they prepare to serve the Lord and His people this Lord’s Day.

Soli Deo Gloria.

Join us this Pentecost Sunday, 24 May at 10:00 AM at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Lynnwood, as we gather in joyful and reverent worship before our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

As God’s covenant people, we come together to worship the risen and reigning Lord through prayer, the singing of praises, and the faithful preaching of God’s Word. On this Pentecost Sunday, we give thanks for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, through whom Christ gathers, strengthens, and preserves His Church.

Graham Fryer will be preaching from Romans 5:12–21 in a sermon titled:

“Life Through Christ”

"For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!"

Whether you are visiting for the first time or looking for a church home rooted in the truth of Scripture and the historic Reformed faith, you are warmly welcome to join us.
