I trust that the lockdown is really keeping us closer and closer to the feet of Jesus our Saviour.

Tomorrow we shall together share a meal at the Lords Table.

Please get yourselves any ingredients you will use for partaking.

Prepare the table according to the number of participants in your household.

10 o'clock sharp be at the place you have prepared with your Bible .

I will facilitate the ceremony thru voice message. I am advised that it is much easier and cheaper for us to access, as opposed to recording.

The service will be 20 minutes long.

May God meet with us at the Lords table.

Think about this beloved:

LOCKDOWN period vs. SPIRITUAL FUNDAMENTALS?

A very good Monday morning beloved

I will spend sometime navigating this space to hear what the heavens are declaring!

Today's lesson is in 2Kgs 4:1-7

The government calls it lockdown - the Bible calls it 'SHUT THE DOOR'
Matt 6:4; and (many other passages you must find for yourself), including 2kgs 4:33 'so he went in and shut the door behind the two of them and prayed to the Lord', seem to give some guidance.

Lessons:

1. Some doors are not Gods will for us to enter them, and God closes them for our own protection and safety.

It is what you do behind those closed doors that matters:

If God does not make a way behind the closed door, there will be no way out for us, from the - frustrations of life we all are faced with.

Quote!
When God sees us doing our part, developing what he has given us, then he will do his part and open doors that no man shall shut.

The question this series is trying to answer is WHAT MUST THE CHURCH DO BEHIND CLOSED DOORS?

Your contribution towards this dialogue will result to an article that I seek to write to preserve the memories of how church is playing a role in collaboration with other prominent stakeholders during testing times.

IT IS A BLESSED DAY OF THE LORD

We continue to do what church has to do - to preach the message of the SAVING GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

To the New Dawners!

We continue to contend for our faith - Jude 3.

Our belief system is rooted in the Holy Spirit who enables us to live a spirit filled, empowered and a holy life.

Last week we learnt that there are 3 habits that we need, to live a Holy Lifestyle.

1. ACCEPTANCE:
* accept that you are a believer,
* accept that you are a new creation,
accept that you are in a position of sonship
* accept that Holy Spirit is your helper,
* accept that you have authority.

Today we look at habit 2 - DISCIPLINE
Ro 12:1- 21, 5:1-12.

What is discipline?
'When God uses hardships, trials and punitive measures with us to improve our character, and force us into correction.'

Why is discipline necessary?

* because God loves us - Deut 8:5
* a loving parent disciplines his children - Prov 23:13
* it makes us wiser - Prov 12:1
* being disciplined is a blessing - Job 5:17
* God's discipline leads to repentance.

'A PERSON WITHOUT DISCIPLINE /SELF CONTROL IS LIKE A CITY WITH BROKEN WALLS'

Christian life is like a marathon, and with discipline - God helps us to run the race well - Heb 12:4.

Lastly,

4 ways to stay positive in this Corona virus season:
1. Stay positive and joyful - Ja 5:13
2. Keep praying pointedly and specifically- 2Chro 20:12
3. Trust that God is in control in every season of life.
4. Welcome change as an overcomer.

A very good morning to all the beloved.
Guess what:
As a community of believers, we have entered a very crucial season.
We are called and therefore expected to stand and occupy the space until Jesus Christ comes back.

There are spiritual fundamentals we must adhere to in order that we truthfully adhere to this high calling:

1. We are into volunteerism as we follow Christ
Ac 20:35 'in everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner (prayer) you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus that He himself said, it is more blessed to give than to receive.

2. 1Jn 3:18 exhorts 'let us not love only with words or with tongue, but indeed and in truth'.

3. Eph 2:10 captures volunteering well 'for we are his workmanship, created in Christ for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we should walk in them.'

Beloved, let us not get weary in good doing 'for a great reward awaits the nation when God will shut silent the virus that is ravaging his people. The pain we feel now, we shall feel no more.

So, the fundamentals of volunteerism are simple:
SERVICE SACRIFICE PRAY

We all do good if we unlock our potential of being prayer warriors, and stay United on our knees, in prayer, because the prayers of righteousness availeth much.

Please join in the ongoing prayers today.
May God fuel us up with compassion and the joy of serving Him.

Beloved partners in the Lord.

This world is facing a prophetic season:

Isaiah 26:20 is spot on.

May we all be encouraged in Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep in perfect peace the steadfast of mind, because he trusts in you.

Beloved,
Truth be told - There are many reasons for us to become paralysed and shaken - how encouraging it is for us the chosen generation to wake up every morning and find comfort in the wisdom that Jesus keeps us in perfect peace.

In the very storms of life - there is shalom peace for us whose trust is in the Lord.

May you be surrounded by this peace as you choose to be peaceful to yourself and to your family,
including the community of believers at large.
Please rehearse Is 26:3 and develop a persuasive declaration of enjoying the peace.
Have a peaceful one.

This morning we are reminded by the Word of God that our life's are not our own, we belong to God. We are created by Him and for Him.

It is important that we realize that we have been hired to take care of our bodies - We are at work.

We are not of this world, Our steps must be ordered by the Lord at all times.

We must be transformed by renewing of our minds - Romans 12: 2

We are to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - This is our spiritual act of worship - Romans 12:1

We were bought at a price. Therefore we need to honor God with our bodies - 1 Corin 6:20

This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.

We are glad even this morning, as we enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.
