Word of God - Pastor Makwala
Topic: Hypocrisy
“In the meantime, when so many thousands of the people had gathered together that they were trampling one another, he began to say to his disciples first, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.”
Luke 12:1-3 ESV
“But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.”
James 5:12 ESV
“Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.”
Matthew 5:37 ESV
Hypocrisy is when you try so hard, in public, to be someone you are not.
If you are a genuine believer - be true to yourself. Don’t deceive yourself. We are living in the last days. The life you live in the church years should be the life you live at home and at work. A believer must not have multiple lives. You will not be able to receive help if you are not true to yourself. Do not be like a 🚦 which has multiple colours.
