Spirit of God,

You Never run out of words to speak to us.

You are Never short of words to comfort us.

We want to hear your sweet still voice today giving us words of reassurance that this pain will pass like others in Jesus name.

We are holding onto your WORD that says" Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.
*MATTHEW 5:4*

Show us your love today as a Father shows His beloved children.
We never doubt your everlasting LOVE, *but at this moment we are hurting* Please comfort us Oh father.

President Ramaphosa has given the Church the responsibility to handle its own business. We praise and thank God for this.
The Church should never be told by government what to do.
Now that government is trusting the Church on Covid-19, I want to suggest that we consider this as an excellent opportunity to prove to government and to make our God proud of His Church by being very responsible.
Our church, RESTORATION AND HEALING HOUSE (RAHH) will not meet in the building (not going back) now and rather we will continue our online meetings (Facebook and WhatsApp) to safeguard peoples lives.
And I consider this time as an opportunity for me as a Pastor to do His work at this critical time.
Let's spend more time in prayer as a Church, I know we have been praying but let's pray even more.
As RAHH, we have been fortunate, having been told months before that we have to be "Church Unusual"

Day 18: RAHH Evening Family Devotion

Psalm 68:19

"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits..."

When you live a life that honors God, when you obey His Word and have an attitude of excellence and integrity, the scripture says that God’s blessings will chase you down and overtake you. You won’t be able to outrun the good things of God. He daily loads us with benefits!

People get confused sometimes and think they have to go chasing after the blessings. But really, when you chase after God each and every day, when you make Him your highest priority, the blessings will automatically follow.

Today, make pleasing the Lord first on your list. Let go of any weights or sins that you know are holding you back. Be willing to deal with any issues God brings to light. Don’t give in to compromise and temptation—all that does is keep you from God’s best. Instead, make the decision to daily put Him first and keep your heart pure before Him. Then get ready because His blessings will chase you down as He daily loads you with benefits!

Let this be our prayer tonight:
Father, today I dedicate every area of my life to You. Help me to live a life of integrity and honor. Thank You for daily loading me with benefits as I put You first in everything that I do in Jesus name. Amen.
Nibe nobusuku obuhle.

Day 9: RAHH Family Evening Devotion

GOD SPEAKS OUT OF THE STORM

Job 40:6
"Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm."

It is by God's grace that we can spend time with Him and experience His peace and find the pressures of live move away.
He helps us put our priorities in proper perspective again.
In the silence we experience God's guidance and an increasing awareness of His love.

If life is filled with pressure and tension, you will find comfort in knowing that God spoke to Job out of a storm.
It is futile to suppose that God can reveal His will to you in the hurly-burly of modern life.

God is willing to guide you in the midst of the storms of life if you live in obedience and submission to His divine will.
You can be conscious of His living presence at all times. He is with you in all circumstances to listen and to help.

Turn to Him and you will find that He is waiting. Then the bustle of your life will become focused and by His grace you can do all things to His honour and glory.

Pray to God to help you not let the business of every day overwhelm you. Ask Him to see Him in the storm.

Have a blessed evening

Scripture for tomorrow morning prayer:

Mark 1:35
"Clock"
Use your clock to set the alarm to wake you up in the morning to pray.
When was the last time you got out of your bed to pray.

So let this be a reminder!

Day 5: RAHH Family Evening Devotion

PEACE IN PRAYER

Colossians 4:2
"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful."

There are many people whose lives are ruled by anxiety, worry and fear. They worry about their future, their family, country and the world.
Violence, crime, unrest, political or economic instability and now the COVID-19 PANDEMIC are often the cause of their fears and anxieties.

Paul provides the answer to such fears when he says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer.... present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:6-7).

There is nothing that you can do in your own strength to solve your problems. Jesus said that without Him we can do nothing, but He also said that in God, all things are possible.

Regardless of how difficult, or how bleak the future may seem, your peace of mind is assured if you seek Jesus in prayer.
Prayer and meditation, accompanied by praise and thanksgiving, is the only infallible method to ensure that you will be able to confront and handle life.

Have a blessed evening.
Know that bazalwane we praying for you nonkosikazi!

Day 4: RAHH Family Evening Devotion

WHEN LIFE TAKES YOU TO MARAH

Exodus 15:22-26
v22 "Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter....."

The people of Israel left Ramesses with joy. In all probabilities they were as Dr ML King used to say, 'free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty we're free at last.'
Or if it were 1960s ''We shall overcome some day, deep in my heart I do believe, we shall overcome some day.' Holding hands on the way to the promised land. It was not long when they noticed the Egyptians coming after them and the excitement turned into curses. 'Oh that we had died in Egypt...' God comes to the rescue once again to the unbelieving church in the wilderness. He performs the greatest miracle of all, He divides the Sea of reeds and they cross on dry land.

Temporarily the doubts of yesterday are suspended, faith rises up. I can almost see Sister Miriam followed by other members of the women's union singing the psalms and the great songs of the church.
Just after saying amen they feel thirsty. The water is available and everyone rushes to the river or well. Disaster strikes the water is bitter. The have arrived at MARAH! So is our Christian journey.

We get mountain top experiences and are very happy to a point that we forget the valleys that lie ahead of us.
We will not reach another mountain top if we stop at the valley.
The valley is meant to refresh us to 'gird up our loins...' and move on and not to moan.

Moses was shown a tree or wood. He took it put it in the water and the water was made sweet. See, 'everyday with Jesus is sweeter than the day before' even at Marah.
In your journey as an individual or as a church leader or as a nation where are you this early evening? If you happen to be on the mountain top, rejoice and be exceedingly glad but don't forget the valleys is ahead of you.
Dont spend all your energy rejoicing, you will need some in the valley.

The tree represents the cross. It is in the ability to carry that cross that you will take away the bitterness you meet in the valley. In the Baptist Xhosa Hymnals I know a hymn (52) with the stanza that goes like, 'Mnqamlezo, mnqamlezo, ndoqhayisa ngwo, ndide ndizuzuphumlo phesheya kweJordan.'
'For the message of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God...'

Have a blessed evening!
