As we prepare for 2026, let's reflect on the following
*Title: Access Yourself*
*Text: Luke 15:17-27*
*By: Ps. Obu*
*Introduction*
Self-Assessment of Your Christian Life
* Access yourself from January until today — access your Christian life.
* From January until today, how have you worked in your Christian journey?
* In your workplace, have you achieved any spiritual growth?
* In the plans you failed to accomplish, don’t give up — stand firm and start again next year.
*Lessons from the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:17-27)*
* From the passage we read, the young man told his father that he wanted his half of the inheritance, which the father gave him, but he finished all the money.
* The Bible says *once he came to his senses*, he did not remain in his ruins; he said,
“I will go back to my father and seek his help.”
* Once the father saw the son, he ran to him, took off his robe, and placed it on the son.
*God's Arms Open*
The father ran to his son, gave him a robe (v22)
* Even with us as believers, we should not just sit after we have failed.
* We should not remain in our ruins but run back to the Father.
* Go back to Jesus, cry to Jesus — with all that you failed to do, go back to Him for His help.
* The same with our Lord Jesus: He is willing to welcome us back to Himself.
*Three Things to Be Mindful of in the Coming Year*
1. Maintain your relationship with God.
2. Don’t give up.
3. Stand firm.
*Prayer and Direction for 2026*
* Pray for your 2026.
* First, desire the kingdom of God, for the Word says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and all will be added.”
* Secondly, like what the Lord said to Joshua, “I will be with you always” — do the work you have been called to do.
