David McDonald wrote this post and we totally agree with what is written here .
"It's not just about the Revival but who will deciple the Harvest.
Revival without discipleship will always produce moments, but never maturity. The responsibility of the Church is not simply to gather crowds around encounters, but to raise disciples who can sustain the move of God long after the atmosphere of revival meetings has passed. Jesus never commanded us merely to host meetings — He commanded us to make disciples.
Our vision cannot stop at revival alone. Revival awakens hearts, but harvest requires laborers. A true move of God must lead to transformation, equipping, and multiplication. The danger in this generation is that many are pursuing the fire of revival without preparing for the responsibility of harvest. Yet Jesus said in Matthew 9:37 that “the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” Heaven is not only looking for people who can celebrate revival, but for people who can steward souls.
Discipleship is the process of turning converts into mature sons and daughters who carry the nature, character, and mission of Christ. It is not enough to fill buildings if we are not building people. The Kingdom grows strongest when believers are equipped, trained, mentored, and released into their God-given assignments.
If revival is the rain, then discipleship is the cultivation of the field. Without cultivation, harvest is wasted. Every genuine awakening in history that endured was built upon strong discipleship, biblical foundation, accountability, and spiritual formation.
Our responsibility in this hour is to build more than gatherings — we must build people. We must create houses that not only host the presence of God but also develop leaders, train believers, restore families, equip evangelists, and release disciples into every sphere of society.
The call of the Church is not simply revival, but harvest. Harvest requires structure. Harvest requires shepherding. Harvest requires fathers and mothers who will walk with people beyond the altar moment into a lifestyle of transformation.
A true apostolic vision understands this: revival is the doorway, but discipleship is the journey. We are not called merely to touch people emotionally for a moment; we are called to establish them spiritually for a lifetime.
This is the hour for the Church to mature. To move beyond excitement into responsibility. Beyond crowds into disciples. Beyond meetings into movement. Because the Lord is not only preparing revival fire — He is preparing for harvest. BUT we must disciple!!!"
