Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we pause in solemn silence to remember the millions of lives extinguished during one of humanity’s darkest chapters.

We grieve the six million Jewish men, women, and children who were systematically murdered. We also remember with deep sorrow the Roma and Sinti people, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and political prisoners who were targeted, persecuted, and killed in the concentration camps.

Each number represents a name, a story, and a life bearing the image of God. As we remember them, let us commit ourselves to standing against hatred in all its forms and to being lights in the darkness.

"The Lord is near to the crushed in heart, and he saves the humble in spirit." (Ps. 33:19 - CPDV)

Let us pray for a world where such atrocities are never repeated and where every human being is treated with the dignity they deserve.

Unity is also growth. We press on towards maturity in Christ — truth spoken in love, faithfulness in worship, charity in practice — until the Church reflects, more clearly, the fullness of her Lord.

Our calling is not private faith, but shared life. Across nations and centuries, Christians have prayed, worshipped, served, and suffered together — imperfectly, yet still held in the mercy of Christ.

Wishing you a 2026 blessed with the love and laughter!

As we step into this new year, let’s remember that blessings multiply when shared, and burdens lighten when divided. Let's resolve to be the hands that lift others up when they stumble.

We are undeniably stronger together.
