When we start feeling like God has somehow forgotten us and our needs, we need to remember that God also meets the needs of the birds. We need to look up to our God just as these birds are looking up to their Creator to sustain them.

You never see a bird fretting and worrying about what it will eat to survive; why should we fret and worry that God won't supply our needs?

I was taking a road around a lake near my house the other day to get home. Mind you, I have taken this road many times to get home, but this one particular day, unbeknownst to me, a section of this road was closed. I was forced to get off the road I always take and go down another road to get home, then this thought hit me - sometimes God closes roads in our lives to take a us a different way.
Has this happened to you? Has God perhaps closed some roads in your life? Roads that you were travelling to accomplish your dreams and plans and God said, "No. I want you to go down this other road instead." Remember - God never closes a road or a door without a purpose. Don't fight it. Take the other road and learn from God.

The Eternal God is thy Refuge

Friends, whatever you are facing today or will face, please remember, that our eternal God is our refuge, i.e., a place where you can run to for safety and strength.
His strength and power are eternal and He will never forsake or abandon us. So, take courage and take heart friends!

Simple Things

Isaiah 10:19

We get so busy with our adult lives that we do not stop to think of the simple things in life like tasting our food, dressing ourselves, or driving ourselves wherever we need to go.

Do we really take the time to appreciate the simple things God allows us to enjoy!
"that a child may write them.."

May we take the time, like a child, to appreciate the simple, child-like things we may take for granted, and praise Him for His goodness.
