An Appeal for Our Sister Abongile Mdolomba – “One Heart, One Way”
Good day fellow brethren,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Tonight we come before you with both a burden and a call to action for the life of our fellow sister, Abongile Mdolomba, who is in urgent need of funds for dialysis treatment.
Our motto as a fellowship, “One Heart, One Way,” is rooted in the promise of God through the prophet Jeremiah: “I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and the good of their children after them” [Jer. 32:39]. The Lord speaks here of a people made one in Him—united not merely in sentiment, but in purpose, compassion, and action. When one member of the body suffers, the whole body suffers with her [1 Cor. 12:26].
Abongile is not a stranger to us. She is our sister, knit into the same body of Christ, for whom Christ Himself shed His blood. To stand aside in her hour of need would be to deny the very unity we confess. Yet in this moment, we have an opportunity to embody the gospel we preach: that love is not only spoken but demonstrated in deeds of mercy.
We therefore invite you to join hands with us in two sacred acts:
In prayer – that the Lord, the Great Physician, would sustain Abongile, guide the hands of her caregivers, and provide for every need according to His riches in glory [Phil. 4:19].
In giving – that as we have received freely from Christ, we may also give freely [Matt. 10:8], bearing one another’s burdens and so fulfilling the law of Christ [Gal. 6:2].
The details for contributions are on the poster attached. May no gift be deemed too small, for God multiplies the loaves and fishes when offered in faith.
May the Lord knit our hearts together in this hour, that through our unity and generosity, Abongile may know she is not alone, and that the name of Christ may be glorified in her healing and restoration.
With gratitude and hope in Christ,
WGSA
