*Do you need a sign?*

_Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.
Ecclesiastes 11:4 NIV_

By today most of you are already feeling that nothing is different, it will become even worse next week when we return to our normal routines of going back to school and work, you have entered the new year with a sense of purpose, you are convinced that this year will bring something different there is just one mistake that you can make and that is LOOKING FOR A SIGN. So you want to feel different, you want to smell something different, you want to see things and people become different but to your disappointment everything still seems to be the same old, nothing around you seems to have changed with the new year, some of us when we get on with things your will realize that you are still unemployed, you still leaving with that chronic illness/pain, you still earn that small salary, you debtors will start calling and sending you messages, maybe your family is still devided, things just look familiar.
Listen to what Jesus say when the pharasees demand a sign from him
_A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away. Matthew 16:4 NIV_
Referring to himself Jesus said the only sign the generation will get is the sign of Jonah, he referred to himself as the Jonah of the generation because he is to them as Jonah was to Nineveh, with this I want to ask you to stop looking at the wind or the clouds for a sign to serve and sacrifice to God, the only sign God has given you is the Word which was Jesus from the beginning, stop looking outside and look inside to what God is saying to you through the word, if God said you will be employed, stop looking at the counties situation, focus on what God has promised no mater whether there are clouds or not.
*Prayer*
Blessed be your name oh heavenly father for continously speaking to us both though your inspired word we read in the Bible and through the silent words you whisper to us through the Holy Spirit, help me Lord to trust your word, let me plant even when I don't see rain, help me to cast my net in the deep even when I know there are no fishes in the sea, in this year give me a child-like faith to belive and hope against hope in the Name of Jesus amen.

Time and Chance
I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. Ecclesiastes 9:11 NIV.
Have you seen in life that good things don't always happen to those with brilliance, hardwork and skill, only those who can seaze and capture the moment are successful, as the year start I want to promise you that there is a month, a week a day and hour or even a second when things will line up for you, all you need is to be ready and seaze the moment. The only reason some of us are more successful than others is not skill or talent, rather readiness and preparedness when the opportunity presents itself. You need to always be ready with your tolbox containing the right tool sets for you to be successful in this life.
Prayer
Blessed be your holy name our father in the Name of Jesus, who has given us Grace to see this new year. I thank you Lord for you have greater plans for me in this season plans not to harm me but to prosper me. I pray that you help me to be ready when this seasons opportunity present themselves to me, that I may not miss your blessings that will surely come at the appropriate time.
