Thanksgiving Preparation 04.10.2025

On a Saturday morning, the congregation gathered with baskets of fresh fruits and vegetables to clean and beautifully decorate the church. Their love, commitment, and dedication made the preparation a truly heartwarming experience. The Sunday School children also came along on Saturday to prepare for their songs, which would be sung on Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Service 05.10.2025

The divine service was conducted by our Rector CEV Jordaan.

Bible text:
Colossians 3:17, And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Theme: How can we show our gratitude?

Message: Let us practise gratitude in word and deed.

- Our words and deeds are to be seasoned with the salt of the gospel.
- We show our gratitude.
- We act in the name of Jesus.

Summary:
■ Our gratitude reflects our relationship with God.
■ We thank God through our prayers, our sacrifices, and our behaviour.
■ Our heart’s attitude towards God, His creation, and our neighbour can be seen in our words and our behaviour.

Thanksgiving Day celebration was filled with beautiful decorations on and around the altar with fruit, vegetables and sun flowers donated by our faithful brothers and sisters.

A wonderful warm ambiance filled the hall with music and joy in anticipation for the word of God and had fellowship after service.

The children, with the help of their teachers, dedicated time and effort to create thoughtful tokens of appreciation to honor the love, care, and sacrifices of every mother. These gifts were made with joy and gratitude, and handed out on Mother’s Day.
