Hi, here is your Word for today:

Verse: Isaiah 32:18

‘My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.’

- The Lord’s plans for you are to give you a hope and a future.
- He has good things in store for you.
- He wants to turn things around and give you His peace and security.
- He wants to come right now and flood your heart with His peace.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You would step into my life and bring Your peace, Your security and Your rest into my heart and life. I recognise that You are the answer and the solution I am looking for. Amen.

Have a great weekend.

1001.) Teaching: Do Not Worry - Trust in God

We live in a time where the world constantly gives us reasons to worry. Whether it’s about our health, finances, future, or even what we will eat or wear, worry seems to surround us. Yet, Jesus Himself tells us, “Do not worry.” In Matthew 6:25-34, He speaks directly to this common human experience of anxiety. Today, we will explore what it means to live free from worry by trusting in God.

Worry and Its Source

We all experience worry—it’s a natural emotion. But we must recognize that worry does not come from God. Worry stems from fear, uncertainty, and a lack of trust in God’s sovereignty. Our bodies often react to worry with stress, anxiety, and even physical illness. However, God is not the creator of worry—He is the giver of peace.

In Matthew 6:25-34 (ESV), Jesus teaches us:

> "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

Here, Jesus is telling us not to let worldly concerns consume us. Our lives are about more than just what we will eat, drink, or wear. God, our Heavenly Father, is in control, and He knows exactly what we need. We must turn our attention away from worry and instead focus on Him.

The Kingdom of God and Our Trust in Him

What does it mean to seek the Kingdom of God first, as Jesus instructs in Matthew 6:33? It means making God the King over every aspect of our lives. It means realizing that God is sovereign and handing over our worries, concerns, and situations into His capable hands. When we seek His Kingdom first, we acknowledge His rule and trust His will.

God is aware of our needs and will provide for us in His perfect timing. When we trust in God rather than in our circumstances, we are set free from anxiety.

In Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV), Paul encourages us:

> "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

The key to overcoming anxiety is prayer and thanksgiving. When we lay our concerns at God’s feet and thank Him for His faithfulness, He fills our hearts with peace, a peace that transcends all human understanding.

Living in the Moment

One of the greatest lessons Jesus teaches about worry is that it robs us of living in the present. In Matthew 6:34, He says:

> “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

God calls us to live in the present, not in fear of what might happen in the future. We often waste precious time worrying about things we cannot control. Jesus uses the example of the birds in verse 26:

> “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

Jesus invites us to consider how carefree birds live, trusting in their Creator to provide. How much more, then, should we trust God to meet our needs?

Trusting God Over Our Circumstances

We were created for more than just surviving; we were created to thrive in relationship with God. As Christians, we have given our lives to Jesus, and our confidence must be in Him. When we put our trust in things like food, clothing, or pleasures, we miss out on the true purpose of life.

Jesus emphasizes in verse 27:

> “And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?”

Worrying does not change anything. It does not add value to our lives but instead robs us of peace and joy. Jesus calls us to live with confidence in God’s provision. When we make God our priority, we will experience His care in every area of our lives.

The Remedy for Anxiety

The remedy for worry is found in a relationship with God. In Philippians 4:4-7, Paul reminds us:

> "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Paul, who wrote this while imprisoned, knew the power of trusting in God even in difficult situations. When we bring our worries to God, He responds with peace and assurance. As Christians, we must ask ourselves, “What is in my heart? What is in my mind?” Are we filling our hearts with the worries of this world, or are we resting in God’s promises?

Conclusion: Trust Jesus in Every Situation

Even in the most difficult circumstances, Jesus calls us to trust Him. As Paul found joy in the Lord while in prison, so we, too, can rejoice in God’s faithfulness, no matter what we face.

Jesus’ command is simple: Do not worry. Live in the moment, trust God for tomorrow, and let His peace guard your heart and mind. When we seek first the Kingdom of God, all our needs will be met, and we will experience the fullness of life in Christ.

Let’s put our confidence in Jesus Christ and trust Him with our whole lives, knowing that God is faithful to take care of everything we need.

1000.) EXPLANATION ....

Why did God create evil? The answer struck me to the core of my soul!
A professor at the university asked his students the following question:
- Everything that exists was created by God?
One student bravely answered:
- Yes, created by God.
- Did God create everything? - a professor asked.
“Yes, sir,” replied the student.
The professor asked :
- If God created everything, then God created evil, since it exists. And according to the principle that our deeds define ourselves, then God is evil.
The student became silent after hearing such an answer. The professor was very pleased with himself. He boasted to students for proving once again that faith in God is a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said:
- Can I ask you a question, professor?
"Of course," replied the professor.
A student got up and asked:
- Professor, is cold a thing?
- What kind of question? Of course it exists. Have you ever been cold?
Students laughed at the young man's question. The young man answered:
- Actually, sir, cold doesn't exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is actually the absence of heat. A person or object can be studied on whether it has or transmits energy.
Absolute zero (-460 degrees Fahrenheit) is a complete absence of heat. All matter becomes inert and unable to react at this temperature. Cold does not exist. We created this word to describe what we feel in the absence of heat.
A student continued:
- Professor, does darkness exist?
— Of course it exists.
- You're wrong again, sir. Darkness also does not exist. Darkness is actually the absence of light. We can study the light but not the darkness. We can use Newton's prism to spread white light across multiple colors and explore the different wavelengths of each color. You can't measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into the world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you tell how dark a certain space is? You measure how much light is presented. Isn't it so? Darkness is a term man uses to describe what happens in the absence of light.
In the end, the young man asked the professor:
- Sir, does evil exist?
This time it was uncertain, the professor answered:
- Of course, as I said before. We see him every day. Cruelty, numerous crimes and violence throughout the world. These examples are nothing but a manifestation of evil.
To this, the student answered:
- Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist for itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is like darkness and cold—a man-made word to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not faith or love, which exist as light and warmth. Evil is the result of the absence of Divine love in the human heart. It’s the kind of cold that comes when there is no heat, or the kind of darkness that comes when there’s no light.

Student's name was Albert Einstein..

999.) GREAT STORY OF REPENTANCE

No baptism,
No communion,
No confirmation,
No speaking in tongues,
No mission trip,
No volunteering,
No financial gifts, and
No church clothes.

He couldn't even bend his knees to pray. He didn't say the sinner's prayer and among other things, he was a thief. Jesus didn't take away his pain, heal his body, or smite his scoffers. Yet, it was a thief who walked into paradise the same hour as Jesus simply by believing. He had nothing more to offer other than his belief that Jesus was who He said He was, and defended Jesus. And said to Jesus “LORD, remember me when You come into Your kingdom”

No spin from brilliant theologians.
No ego or arrogance.
No shiny lights, skinny jeans, or crafty words.
No haze machine, donuts, or coffee in the lobby.

Just a naked dying man on a cross unable to even fold his hands to pray. Just peeping out of his eye to see the deformed, bloody, dying Jesus.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that WHOEVER believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life."
~ John 3:16 ~

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." ~ Ephesians 2:8-9 ~

According to the Apocryphal Book of Nicodemus, the one was called DISMAS which means “sunset”, he was forgiven almost at sunset to wake up in Paradise with Christ. He was on the left of Jesus.

The other thief was GESTAS, which means to “complain” or or to be “mean”, or “deeds or acts” or “things done”. He was on the right of Jesus. He embodies the tragic figure who remains unrepentant, even on the brink of death.

Their story offers a stark contrast between rejection (Gestas) and acceptance (Dismas) of Divine Grace. And also underscores the boundless mercy of God.

Hi, here is your Word for today:

Verse: Psalm 46:2 (GNT)

‘So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken and mountains fall into the ocean depths.’

- At times it can feel like the foundations of our lives are shaking.
- Things can feel unstable and unpredictable.
- But we have a sure foundation in God that stands secure forever.
- As we stand on Him, our solid Rock, we can stand secure and not be moved.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the security and stability that You bring into my life. I choose not to focus on the raging waters, nor on the winds and waves. I choose You as my sure Foundation and my eternal Rock of refuge, and therefore I will not be afraid. Amen.

Have a blessed Tuesday.
