TITLE: GRACE TO BE HUMBLE.
SCRIPTURES: JAMES 4:6 , 2 CORITHIANS 12:7-9 .
Being humble is a state of your heart. The Bible tells us that God gives grace to the humble and resists the proud (James 4:6). The word "resist" is a legal word in the spiritual realm that when you pray in the courts of heaven then the accuser can stand beside you to say you are not humble and you have pride.
The Danger of Pride.
Lucifer received resistance from God because he was proud - his beauty made him proud. What you pray for isn't the problem; the issue starts when these things prompt you to have pride and change your relationship with people. God doesn't want you to be where you are but it's entirely up to you by the change of heart.
Check Your Heart.
Where you are right now tells the state of your heart, you walk and talk in a manner that shows pride hence the day you have more you will be worse. Check your heart and judge yourself now because you can't twist the arm of God. It's important to pray for your heart; many Christians won't enter heaven because of their hearts and their hearts will condemn them.
The Power of Grace.
In the house of the Lord, we receive grace and ascend to greater places. People criticise what they don't understand, they will criticise you as they intend you to bow before them but realise grace in your life. Paul is a good example of how God's grace works - he was given grace in labour and administration.
You Have Grace.
Same applies to you; through grace, you were born with a purpose. Even in your family, you have grace to strive. You're given the grace to succeed, even when facing challenges. The grace of God prepares a table before your enemies. You succeed because of God's grace working in your life, not because of qualifications or strength. Declare that you are full of grace, regardless of challenges. Your life is determined by God's grace to lift you up. You were born into your family to change the situation. You have grace for marriage, as God chose you to change things in your family - it's not you, but God's grace in you that works for the better.
God's Grace is Sufficient.
God resists the proud, but gives the weak more power. God says His grace is sufficient for us; let's walk with His grace and remain humble. The Bible says, "Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth" (Numbers 12:3). Paul prayed three times, but God never removed his weakness, but received more of Grace, he was bitten by the snake and people thought that he will die but he didn't, instead he shook the snake off the fire. You will not die before your time, you shall shake off that sickness in the fire and live as God planned through his grace.
Nothing can stand against grace. Esther did not qualify to be the queen but grace favoured her, it took someone without parents to be placed in throne as a Queen. May you partake in the same grace as Esther.
Grace will place you in higher places where people will not understand!
