Congratulations to Our Newly Inaugurated Altar Servers from the Parish of Our Lady of Mercy, Emdeni.

O God, You have graciously called us to serve You upon your altar. Grant us the graces that we need to serve You faithfully and wholeheartedly. Grant too that while serving You, may we follow the example of St. Tarcisius, who died protecting the Eucharist, and walk the same path that led him to Heaven.

St. Tarcisius, pray for us and for all servers.

As The Soweto Altar Servers Guild We Pray 🕯

“Lord God, grant him the grace to accept whatever challenges, disappointments and successes that may come his way so that he may grow in wisdom and experience as he strive to serve you and your Church. Through the obedience he will promise to the bishop at ordination tomorrow, make him ever more attentive to the unfolding of your will for him and for the people his going to serve.

As he draws near to ordination, strengthen his hands for service and give him a clear voice to proclaim your word. Be his example and guide. Be his strength and inspiration. Help him always to know his place as one who comes to serve and not to be served.

As that day of ordination draws near, Almighty Father, Make him worthy of the trust and confidence placed in him and guard him in the ways of integrity and truth. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.” 🙌❤
