‭‭Matthew‬ ‭20:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.”

I hear this verse quoted many times and most of the time incorrectly, because if you read this verse out of context you will say that God calls many but only a few are fit for the job or a few are chosen. Although it is true that God calls many it’s not true that he only chooses a few because if God calls you that means you are chosen, you are elected and you are selected for what He has called you to do because He who calls you also equips you.

So in essence what the verse is saying that many are called but a few people responds to the call and I will confirm this scripturally with a verse from Matthew‬ ‭9:37‬ ‭KJV that says “Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;”‬‬ so it goes to show that God is not a respecter of persons to choose only those who posses the ability because all of us have the ability and He is not unjust to only select a few but He has given each and every one of us a call to preach the Gospel and He is calling you today will you choose to respond to his call?
