Meet Leah, whose name is defined as grieved, or weary. Leah was the elder daughter of Laban and the first wife of Jacob. Though Jacob's heart was set on marrying Rachel, Leah's younger sister, Laban deceived him into marrying Leah first.

Despite being less favored than Rachel, Leah became the mother of six of Jacob's sons, including brothers Levi and Judah, from whom the priestly and royal lines of Israel would descend, respectively.

Throughout her life, Leah sought love and validation, and her story is one of resilience and God's favor in unexpected places.

Meet Mary, the mother of Jesus, is one of the most famous women in the Bible. According to the Gospels, Mary was a young virgin girl who lived in Nazareth and was betrothed to Joseph. The angel Gabriel visited her and told her that she would conceive and give birth to Jesus, the Son of God (Luke 1:26-38).

Mary bravely embraced her calling and bore for all of humanity the savior of the world.

Welcome to Women's Month

In commemoration of Women's Month, our nation pays homage to the historic event of August 9th, 1956, when over 20,000 women marched to the Union Buildings in protest against extending Pass Laws to women.

Women's Month encompasses a range of ongoing initiatives involving the collaborative efforts of government, civil society, and the private sector, all aligned with the national priorities set by the government.

During this significant month, Tabernacle Ministries will examine the compelling narratives of the Women of the Bible, delving into the details of their lives and exploring how they overcame various challenges and fulfilled their purposes.

Rus saggies, Suster Mona 🕊

2 Timoteus 4:7-8 (Nuwe internasionale weergawe)

We are all part of the Body of Christ

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free--and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

Acts 2:41-42 (NLT)
Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

The Fellowship of the Believers
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.
