The launch of GATE Ministries on the morning of 16th February 2012 commenced with an amazing euphoric convergence of the family of God on the Protea Balalaika in Sandton. The Oxford room and its surrounds reverberated with the excitement and deep emotional stirring of a company of people for whom the desire for a household of Apostolic accuracy was at last becoming a reality. That the management o

f the Balalaika would tolerate such a boisterous and animated crowd - for 4 days and 2 nights - without murmur or vexation remains a testament to the Grace of that fine establishment! The first session commenced with an intimate time of worship led by Pastor Randolph Barnwell and is accomplished team from the church Eternal Sound in Durban. If the vibrant crowd had been expecting pomp and fanfare to precede the launch of this pioneering ministry, they were sorely mistaken. There were no wild ululations, no hysterical proclamations, no finely articulated wordsmithing - instead there was pain and sadness and the burden of ultimate obedience. For Thamo Naidoo the decision to launch Gate was neither easy, nor his own - it was an act of divine orchestration. God had made it clear over a defined period of time that He was going to strategically align His servants and establish governmental centers of influence through which patriarchal fathers would be raised to give direction and guidance to God’s family. The establishment of GATE Ministries in Sandton is not to compete with any house or to claim a superior message to anyone else; neither is it to entertain, look down upon another ministry, nor elevate any individual; it is here to serve the will of God. Whatever God will do He will do for His glory - He neither needs nor seeks another man’s inheritance to build the house. The mandate of Thamo Naidoo is to ensure that the word would come with purity, clarity, definition, poise and purpose and that as His regents He would use the agency of this present ministry to establish His plan and purpose. Sandton is an economic hub and serves as a gate in the natural to Africa, and Africa needs this message. The ultimate purpose of establishing a church is to establish a family that can produce sons - sons of God sired by man; nurtured, guided and mentored by a man. The only way God can stand in the earth is through sonship. Fathers are glorified in sons. The ultimate level of worship is not religious; it’s relational. God is not interested in numbers. He is interested in seeing himself in the numbers. GATE Ministries strives to be a family that produces sons. Sons cannot be produced in our image but in His image; and His image is not black, white, yellow or coloured; not based on ethnicity, culture or language, but on how He being invisible becomes visible on the earth. The only way He becomes visible is through Grace being embodied in individuals. You can only have a church built on the principal of Grace - and Grace is genderless, faceless, colourless - Grace is ancient, eternal, the very essence of what represents God. And that grace comes packaged in people whom you hear and see. If we are to build a church on the earth it must not be built on the personality of individuals, it must be built on the grace of God that is without prejudice.
