Salesians AFM Salesians of Don Bosco We live and work in communities in 128 countries of the world.

The Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), commonly referred to as the “Salesians” belong to a Religious Congregation of priests and brothers in the Roman Catholic Church. In Southern Africa (AFM = Africa Meridianale) we have formed seven communities, working in South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho. These communities usually manage their own youth development activities, which range from youth oratories and

schools to skills training programmes and HIV/Aids interventions. The communities are located in: Cape Town at the Salesian Institute, and at Lansdowne at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish. Gauteng at the Bosco Youth Centre near Walkerville; the Novitiate in Ennerdale, and at Ozanam House in Johannesburg. In Swaziland the community is at the Salesian High School in Manzini, and in Lesotho at St Luke’s Mission in Maputsoe.

We give thanks for the life of Fr Dino Miotto, SDB who passes away this morning at Bosco Youth Centre, Walkerville.
May he rest in peace and joy of the Risen Lord. Funeral Mass, presided by Cardinal Stephen Brislin, Archbishop of Johannesburg, on August 18, at 10:00 in Savio Chapel, Bosco Yiuth Centre. In the name of the Miotto family and AFM provincial community of the Salesians of Don Bosco, we give thanks for your prayers and condolences.
