"When it pleased God..." (Galatians 1:15).

As servants of God, we must learn to make a room for Him- to.give God an elbow room. We plan and figure and predict that this or that will happen, but we forget to make room room for God to come in asnhe chooses. Would we be surprised if God came intomour meeting or into our preaching in a way we had not expected Him to come?

Do not look for God to come in a particular way. No matter how well we may know God, the great lesson to learn is that He may break in at any minute. We tend overlook this element of surprise, yet God never works in any other way. Suddenly - God meets our life- " ... when it pleased God ..."

Keep your life so constantly in touch with God that His surprising power can break through at any point. Live in a constant state of expectancy. And leave room for God to come in as He decides.

Sincerely.

GRACE ISN’T SAFE. IT’S DANGEROUS TO RELIGION
Everywhere Grace appears, control systems fall apart.

Let this sink in a bit. Whenever Jesus revealed Grace, the religious mind panicked. Why? Because grace does something law, guilt, and fear can never do. It sets people free from the grips of human hierarchy.

The early church wasn’t accused of being “too holy.” They were accused of being lawless, because they preached a freedom that didn’t need Pharisees to police it. Grace collapses Spiritual power structures. It dethrones Fear-based leadership. It destroys the idea that you need a middleman to reach God.

Paul said it plainly.
“Stand fast therefore in the Liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of Bondage.” (Galatians 5:1)

Freedom always scares people who rely on Control.

Religion loves ladders. Grace builds elevators.
Religion loves supervisors. Grace makes sons.
Religion loves guilt. Grace creates Boldness.

A son who knows he’s free is impossible to manipulate.

Picture a young man in church who grew up being told, “If you don’t perform, God won’t accept you.” He tithed out of fear, served out of guilt, and prayed out of anxiety. He never felt enough.

Then one day he discovered Ephesians 2:8
“By Grace you have been saved through Faith… not of works.”

Suddenly, he stopped trying to impress God and started resting in what Jesus had already Finished. The elders thought he was “backsliding.” The Truth? He had finally stepped into True Freedom.

He didn’t leave church. He left fear.
He didn’t despise holiness. He discovered his Identity.
He didn’t rebel against God but against Religion.

Grace didn’t make him lazy. It made him Alive.
Once he understood who he was, he served with Joy. He gave with Revelation. He prayed with Boldness, not to earn acceptance, but from acceptance.

That’s the danger of grace. It makes controlled people 'uncontrollable.

"I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or dispute. "
1 Timothy 2:8
Great incentives to prayer are furnished in scripture. Our Lord closes His teaching abiut prayer with assurance and promises of heaven. The presence of Jesus Christ in heave and preparation He is making there for His saints help us not to grow weary in prayer.

By Helen Rogers

“After this Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst:” John 19:28.

Jesus taught concerning His coming and death in the Law. He said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.” Matthew 5: 17.

‘I thirst’ was spoken between noon and three p.m. while Jesus hung on the cross. They were spoken to fulfill what the Psalmist had recorded.

“They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink” Psalm 69:21. “My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws” Psalm 22:15. These words were said to fulfill the scripture. He didn’t mention the other physical conditions but focused on the reasons He came to earth.

What are we thirsting for today? We are to comprehend with all Saints and know how to comfort the feeble-minded. Have we learned to give thanks from our hearts in everything?

Are we practicing holy living every day? We are to treat others as we want to be treated. Are we there yet?

We must thirst after these things to fulfill the scriptures. We must not thirst for natural things, but that the Bible may be fulfilled in our lives.

Wise people never make important decisions in a wrong emotional state. When Elijah found out that Queen Jezebel was after him, he was ready to give up his role as a prophet and die. So God gave him forty days of rest, prayer and recovery, before he decided what his next steps would be. He was now ready to decide on the basis of his faith in God, and not his fear of Jezebel. And his decision was very different at the end of forty days of rest, than it would have been before he rested.

Don't Look Back

Today’s Scripture
Job 17:7, NLT
My eyes are swollen with weeping, and I am but a shadow of my former self.

Today’s Word
In the Scripture, Job's life was suddenly shattered by great personal losses as well as a devastating illness. Although Job honored God with all of his life, he experienced a difficult test of his faith that he didn't understand. Maybe like Job, you feel like a shadow of what you used to be. At one time you were healthy and strong, but now you're weak and tired from fighting an illness. At one time you were blessed in your business, but now you're barely making it. Or at one time you had a great marriage, but now you're just trying to keep it together.

Fortunately, Job's story did not end there, and neither will yours. God eventually turned it around and brought Job out with twice what he had before. After the heartache, after the loss, after the sickness, after the divorce, you're going to see years of health, happiness, and favor to where you don't look back and dwell on what you've been through. Bad breaks are not your destiny; double is coming.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that no matter how I feel about a challenge, nothing and no one can stop You from turning it around. Thank You that my story doesn't end trapped in difficulties or bad breaks. Help me to know that this too shall pass and double blessing is coming. In Jesus' Name, Amen

What's In Your Plan?

Today’s Scripture
Jeremiah 29:11, NIV
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Today’s Word
God has a plan for your life, but He doesn't show you all the details. If He showed you what He has in store, where He's taking you, it would excite and amaze you. But if you saw what it's going to take to get you there--the giants and Pharaohs you'll face, the lonely nights, the betrayals, the closed doors--you would think, "I'll just stay where I am." God doesn't show us the details because He knows we would talk ourselves out of it. If you can't figure out how something is ever going to work out, and you start getting worried, that's a sign God doesn't want you to know. You have to be comfortable not knowing.

When you say, "God, I don't see a way or have the answer for how this situation can work out, but I trust You," that attitude of faith is what allows God to do great things. He had the solution before you had the problem. Pass the test and simply trust Him.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for Your plan for my life, a plan that is full of hope and an abundant future. Thank You that You are calling me to trust You and to be comfortable not knowing how everything will work out. I believe that You are for me, and that is all I need to know. In Jesus' Name, Amen
