What a Sunday. 🤍

We were reminded that Jesus is not only worthy of our worship because of who He is, but because of what He has done. The Lamb who was slain is standing in victory, and heaven responds with a song that grows louder and wider until all creation declares His worth.

The question for us is simple: what song is your life singing?

Grateful for another Sunday of being reminded that every crown belongs at the feet of Jesus. 🙌

Who is worthy?

In Revelation 5, John watches as all of heaven searches for someone worthy to open the scroll that holds God's plan for history. No person, no ruler, no angel could be found... until all eyes turned to Jesus.

This Sunday, Lester reminded us of the beautiful paradox at the heart of the Gospel: the Lion of Judah is also the Lamb who was slain. He doesn't conquer by taking life, but by laying down His own. And because He is both the victorious King and the sacrificial Lamb, He alone is worthy.

When the world feels uncertain, we don't need to fear. History is still in God's hands, and the One on the throne has already secured the victory.

What a Sunday. 🤍
We were reminded that in a world searching for hope and certainty, there is only One who is truly worthy. Jesus alone reigns with all authority, and because of His victory, we can live with confidence and worship Him with our whole lives.

Grateful for another Sunday spent together as a church family, lifting our eyes to the One who is worthy of it all. 🙌

What if worship is bigger than we think?

When our eyes are fixed on God, worship becomes more than a moment...It becomes the way we live every day.

Heaven never grows tired of worship.

This Sunday, Simon reminded us that the worship we see in Revelation 4 isn't driven by emotion or routine. It's a response to the endless beauty, holiness, and worth of God. The more clearly we see Him, the more naturally our hearts are drawn to worship.

When life feels uncertain, the throne of God remains unshaken. Worship lifts our eyes above the chaos and reminds us who is truly in control.

And worship isn't limited to a song on a Sunday. It's the way we live, serve, love, and surrender every part of our lives to the One who created us, defines us, and gives our lives purpose.

Another Sunday, another reminder of who God is. 🤍
In a world that constantly competes for our attention, we were reminded to lift our eyes to the One who is worthy of all honour, glory, and praise. Worship isn't just something we do for a moment on a Sunday; it's the response of a life captivated by the greatness of God.

We're so grateful to gather each week as a church family, to worship together, to open God's Word, and to be shaped more into the likeness of Christ. Here's to another Sunday spent fixing our eyes on Him. 🙌

When life feels uncertain, lift your eyes.

In Revelation 4, John is given a glimpse into heaven. Not to escape the realities of earth, but to see the One who reigns over them all. Before we're shown what will happen, we're reminded of who is on the throne.

This Sunday, James encouraged us to live as people who have seen the throne of God. A throne that cannot be shaken. A King who is perfectly holy. A sovereign Lord whose mercy surrounds His power.

Our circumstances may not change overnight, but our perspective can. When we behold God in all His glory, our fears find their proper place, and worship becomes our response.

What a Sunday. 🙌
We gathered with our eyes fixed on Jesus and were reminded that no matter how uncertain life may feel, God is still on the throne. His rule is unshaken, His purposes stand, and He alone is worthy of our worship.

Grateful for another Sunday spent together, leaving with renewed confidence in the One who reigns over it all. 🤍

Seventeen years of faithfulness. Seventeen years of pointing people to Jesus.

This Sunday we had the privilege of honouring Vaughn and Lorele Harvey and celebrating the incredible legacy they've left at City. Through countless conversations, hospital visits, prayers, cups of coffee, Bible studies, counselling sessions, moments of encouragement and quiet acts of service, they've faithfully loved this community.

They've made people feel seen, carried others through life's hardest moments, invested deeply into marriages, families and leaders, and consistently lived lives marked by humility, integrity and obedience to God. Their impact reaches far beyond what words could ever capture.

To the entire Harvey family, thank you. Thank you for opening your home, sharing your lives, making sacrifices, and serving this church so wholeheartedly over the past 17 years. We are better because of you.

As you step into this new season, we celebrate all that God has done through you at City, and we're expectant for all He will continue to do through you in Cape Town.

We love you, Harvey family. You'll always be part of the story of City. ❤️

Some Sundays stay with you. 🤍
This was one of them. We spent the morning worshipping together before taking time to honour Vaughn and Lorelé Harvey as they step into a new season after 17 years of faithfully serving our church family.

Through stories, prayers, and words of encouragement, we celebrated who they are, the lives they've impacted, and all that God has done through them over the years. Their legacy will continue to be felt in this community for years to come.

Thank you, Vaughn and Lorelé. We love you, we're grateful for you, and we're praying God's richest blessing over everything that lies ahead. 🤍
