GOD IS WITH YOU UPHOLDING YOU

It is easy to say, “Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!” when times are good. It is easy to believe that God loves you when you are on the mountain top enjoying the sunshine. But what happens when you are down in the dark valley surrounded by your enemies?

Perhaps today, you are in the valley of marital, financial or bodily trouble, and you are asking, “Where is God?”

My friend, He is right there with you. The God of the valleys says to you, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

When King Jehoshaphat was surrounded and outnumbered by his enemies, the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel and he said to the king, “Don’t be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you. Don’t fear or be dismayed. Tomorrow, go out against them for the Lord is with you.” (2 Chronicles 20:14–17)

What King Jehoshaphat did next was brilliant. He acted with wisdom from on high. Instead of putting his commandos in front, he put worshipers in front! What did the worshipers sing? They sang of God’s love for them—“Praise the Lord for His love endures forever!” And God utterly destroyed their enemies! (2 Chronicles 20:21–23, NIV)

Beloved, it is not the trials that make us strong, but our responses in those trials. The devil wants us to respond by asking, “Where is God?” But God wants us to respond with faith in His love for us. We are more than conquerors not because of our love for Him, but through Him who loves us. (Romans 8:37)

So whatever valley you are in today, don’t be afraid.

Then the ark rested in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.

Genesis 8:4

STANDING ON NO-CURSE GROUND

For 40 days and nights, it rained so hard that the whole world perished, except for Noah and those who were with him in the ark. At the end of 150 days, on the 17th day of the seventh month, the ark rested on the mountains of Ararat.

In Hebrew, the word “Ararat” means “the curse is reversed”. The waters of judgment receded, causing the ark to rest on the mountains of Ararat, on new ground where the curse is reversed. And it happened on the 17th day of the seventh month on the Feast of Firstfruits—the exact date that Jesus rose from the dead 4,000 years later!

When Christ rose from the dead, we were raised together with Him. (Colossians 2:12). We who are in Christ our true ark stand on resurrection ground where the curse has been reversed (Galatians 3:13), where diseases, poverty and failures have no right to operate!

A church member shared how God delivered him from cervical spondylosis, a medical condition which causes the neck section of the spinal cord to deteriorate. An X-ray taken four to five years back showed that that area of his spinal cord was deteriorating fast. He was in pain and had to take medicine to manage the condition. And whenever he had a relapse, he would get depressed.

During his last relapse, he went to the doctor, trusting God that he was already healed, had another X-ray taken and was given some medication. He took the medication, still believing God that he was healed. The following morning, the pain in his neck was gone and he was able to turn his head. When he finally collected his X-ray results a week later, his doctor actually told him that his spinal cord looked better than the doctor’s own! The doctor was very surprised because patients with this condition usually don’t get better. God had reversed the curse of cervical spondylosis for him!

CONFIRMING YOUR CALLING OVER YOUR LIFE !
When answering God’s call make sure that the following theology is very clear to you,especially to us young ministers :

1. Theology of power (Anointing)
Your anointing is not be used to manipulate people,it must be used to destroy the works of the enemy
The anointing is not to be used as a commodity for commerce,
It must be used to give hope to the people, Jesus quoting Isaiah he said “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.
(Isaiah 61: 1- 3.

2. Theology of place – Jesus emphasized the importance of knowing the place where you are assigned:
God will never opened doors in places you have no assignment and business,
I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel. – Matthew 15:24
"Don’t go to the Gentiles or the Samaritans,but only to the people of Israel—God’s lost sheep"-Mat 10:5
Where has God has called you ?
Where has he placed you ?
Where do you build your ministry ?

3. Theology of Purpose – What is your message?
Isaiah and Ezekiel were all prophets but there messages were different and they prophesied in different geographical spaces.
Isaiah was the messianic prophet – Jesus quoted Isaiah more than any other prophet in the bible ,but Ezekiel was an Apocalyptic Prophet who begins his book with the vision of Merkavah - the Chariot.

4. Theology of people - Who are you sent to?
Which people has God assigned to you?
God will give you a special grace for a certain class of people based on your calling and assignment.

5. Theology of Time
It’s not enough to know what God wants you to do. You have to know God’s plan and timing for accomplishing His will. Your calling has a time space !
