TWO KINDS OF FAITH - PASTOR CHRIS

In a general sense, there are two kinds of faith. First, there is “the God-kind of faith” as revealed in Mark 11:26. Then there is “the human kind of faith.” The human-kind of faith is based on knowledge or information obtained from the senses. This type of faith calls real only those things that can be seen or touched physically. It doesn’t produce any result; it gives you nothing. It’s not true faith, because faith is the evidence of things not seen or perceived by the senses.

A good illustration of someone who operated in this kind of faith was Thomas, one of Jesus’ disciples. When he heard that the Master had risen from the dead, he said, “Except I see...I will not believe!” (John 20:25). Shortly afterwards, when Jesus showed up, He rebuked him saying, “be not FAITHLESS, but believing…” (John 20:27). In other words, Thomas was actually faithless!

So those who say seeing is believing are faithless according to the Scriptures. The human-kind of faith is no faith at all. It is zero-faith. I like to call it “the Thomas-kind of faith.” Jesus went on to declare to Thomas, “Blessed are they that have
not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:29). The blessed person is the one who believes before seeing.

The Same Holy Spirit

But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power… Acts 1:8

Nobody can do the work of God without the help of the Holy Spirit. Jesus performed miracles through the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul and the other apostles in the Bible performed great signs and wonders like Jesus because they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

That same Spirit has anointed you with power to heal the sick, cast out devils and preach the Word of God with boldness. You have the power to do the same things Jesus and the apostles did because you have the same Holy Spirit.

It's your season

I’m a peculiar treasure unto God, born anew with the supernatural life of glory, excellence and power in my spirit! In my words and actions today, I’m showing forth the wonderful deeds, and displaying the virtues and perfections of my heavenly Father, who has called me unto glory, honour and excellence. My body is not sustained by blood, but by the vitalizing power of the Holy Spirit in me. I declare that the Holy Spirit is at work in me; therefore, my body is daily renewed! I dwell continually in health through the working of His mighty power in me, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I dwell continually in health through the working of His mighty power in me. I have the miracle I desire, because my faith is is working and producing results. I refuse to be sick. Jesus is Lord over my body; therefore, divine health is mine, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

You Already Have Faith

…God has dealt to each one a measure faith. Romans 12:3

Some people think the reason they’re experiencing difficulties in their lives is because they don’t have faith. But that’s not true! Every Christian has faith. The day you were born again, you received the God kind of faith into your spirit.

The Bible says God has given to everyone the measure of faith. It didn’t say He has given to some people but to everyone; and that includes you! So you already have faith! Just put your faith to work.

(Ephesians 1:19, AMPC)

Every one of us can say that, in our lives, God has been good to us. We’ve all seen God’s favor at work. He has protected us, promoted us and opened doors for us. That’s God’s favor. But I believe that in the coming days, God wants to show us unprecedented favor—that’s favor like we haven’t seen before.
In today’s verse, Paul said that in the “ages to come,” we would see “the immeasurable, unlimited, surpassing greatness of God’s favor.” What’s interesting is that Paul wrote this passage ages ago. I believe that we are now living in the “ages to come” that Paul was talking about. I believe you and I are going to see this unprecedented favor! The word “unprecedented” means “unmatched, unparalleled, for the first time.” In other words, you may have seen God’s favor in the past, but you need to get ready. You haven’t seen anything yet. What God has in your future is going to be bigger, better, greater—unprecedented! He is going to show you His goodness in ways you’ve never seen before. Keep standing, keep praying, keep putting Him first and watch His unprecedented favor come on every area of your life!
