Joburg Gadaad Jamaah Various Thikrs and Recitations promoting and encouraging the Rememberance of Almighty Allah and his beloved Rasool, Moegammad (PBUH)

We are a group held together by the love of Allah (SWT). By reciting various verses from the Qur'an and other thikrs(prayers/duas) we remember Allah and His beloved Nabee Mugammad (SAW) which serves as a constant reminder of the Oneness and glory of which only Allah is worthy.

_Sayyiduna Salmaan رضي الله عنه reports_

_On the last day of Shaʿban, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and said something to the effect:_

*“O People, there comes upon you now a great month,*

*a most blessed month,*

*in which lies a night greater in worth than one thousand months.*

*It is a month in which Allah has made compulsory that the fasting should be observed by day;*

*and He has made the tarawih by night a sunnah.*

*Whosoever tries drawing nearer to Allah by performing any virtuous deed in this month,*

*for him shall be such reward as if he had performed a fardh (obligatory observance) in any other time of the year.*

*And whoever performs a fardh for him shall be the reward of seventy fardh in any other time of the year."*

_Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik رضي الله عنه narrates that Nabi ﷺ said:_

*“The one who sends one hundred durud [salutations] upon me, Allah writes between his two eyes that this person is free from hypocrisy and hell fire and on the day of judgement, he will be kept with the martyrs.”*

*_(Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 7231)_*

Today being the blessed day of Friday, let us:

*(1)* Engage in fervent duaa, especially for the oppressed.
*(2)* Recite Surah Kahf.
*(3)* Send abundant salutations/durood on Nabi ﷺ.

*Tuesday يوم الثلاثاء*

_Sayyidah ‘Aaishah رضي الله عنها has reported that Rasulullah ﷺ said:_

*‘The one who recites the Quran being a Hafiz of it (i.e he has memorized it well and recites it proficiently) will be with the noble angels (that are scribes). And that person shall receive two rewards who recites the Quran experiencing difficulty yet he still exerts himself.*

*_(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 4937)_*

```This Hadith should be understood as a consolation from Nabi ﷺ to a person who stammers or struggles whilst reciting the Quran, and not as a comparison between him and a fluent reciter.```

_Sayyiduna Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked,_

_“What admits most people into Paradise?”_

*The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,*
*(1)* Fear of Allah
*(2)* Good character.”

_It was asked, “What condemns most people to Hellfire?”_

*The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,*
*(1)* The mouth
*(2)* The private parts.

*“Verily, the believer may reach by his good character the rank of one who regularly fasts and stands for salaah at night.”*

_Sayyiduna Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه reported:_

*“My close friend (i.e. Nabi ﷺ) ordered me with seven things:*

*(1)* To love the poor and to be close to them
*(2)* To look to those who are less [fortunate] than me and not to those who are above me
*(3)* To maintain the ties of kinship even if they break them off
*(4)* To not ask anyone for anything (i.e. to abstain from begging)
*(5)* To say the truth even if it is unpleasant
*(6)* To not fear the censure of the critics
*(7)* To increase in saying: ‘La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah’ (There is no might nor power except with Allah), as it is from the treasures that are underneath the Throne.”

_Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik رضي الله عنه reports that Rasulullah ﷺ said:_

*“Whoever recites durood/sends salutations upon me once, Allah Ta’ala will:*

*(1)* Send down ten mercies upon him,
*(2)* Expiate ten of his sins,
*(3)* Elevate his status in the Hereafter by ten ranks

_Sa’id ibnul Musayyab رحمه الله reported that Rasulullah ﷺ said:_

*‘Whoever recites Surah Ikhlas (قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ اَحَد) ten times will receive a palace in Jannah in return, and who recites it twenty times will receive two palaces therein. Likewise, whoever recites this Surah thirty times will get three palaces in Jannah.’*

_Sayyiduna ‘Umar رضي الله عنه commented: ‘By Allah! In that case we shall have lots of palaces (i.e, since we will recite this a lot)._

*Rasulullah ﷺ replied:*

*‘Allah has abundant treasure.’*

_Sayyiduna Abu Musa Al Ash’ari رضي الله عنه reports that Rasulullah ﷺ said:_

*“Among the greatest of sins in Allah’s sight which a man commits, after the major sins which Allah has prohibited, is that a man should die while in debt, without making any [arrangement] for it to be paid off.”*

*“The deeds are presented on Monday and Thursday. Thus, I love for my deeds to be presented while I am fasting.”*

_Sayyiduna Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه reports that Rasulullah ﷺ said:_

*“On the middle night of Sha’ban (15th) Allah Ta’ala’s mercy comes to the first sky and He forgives all besides the polytheists and those who harbour enmity for their brethren”*

*_(Musnad Bazzar and Shu’abul Iman of Bayhaqi, Hadith: 3546)_*

_Imam ‘Ata ibn Yasar رحمه الله تعالى –the great Tabi’i of Madinah- said:_

```“After Laylatul-Qadr, there is no other night in the year that is more virtuous than the middle (15th) night of Sha’ban”```

_Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas رضي الله عنهما reported that Nabi ﷺ said:_

*“The Martyr and the one who would give charity will be brought on the Day of Qiyamah to give accountability. Then those who underwent trials and difficulties [in this world] will be brought forward. There will be no scale erected for them nor will any book be opened. They will receive copious amounts of rewards so much so that those who were not tested [in this world] will wish that their bodies were cut with scissors due to the wonderful reward Allah bestowed upon them [those who were tested].”*
